Colin Powell is a great American. In all difference to Colin Powell, he urged me to vote for Barak Obama and I did not. I did not vote for John McCain either. In my mind, "keeping government as small as possible" does not mean that we spare no expense to take of the eldest, most non-productive Americans, many of which are affluent and living in comfort, and the CEOs of the banks, insurance companies and finance companies, as was the case under Bush.The rest of us need affordable, accessible health care, something that the Republicans and the right wing don't think is a responsibility of government. However even the AMA, the HMOs, and big businesses like Wal-Mart know that we need health care reform.Government is not just for the old and the well connected. It is for everyone.
