Winning the consistent way
2008-08-24 02:51:00 "Winners don't do different things; They do things differently". This is a statement that any book of positive thinking would start with. Nobody would want to disagree to the fact that this is true and is important if you want to win. Another statement that one would hear a lot of times is that, "maintaining the winning momentum would help you keep winning". Now if you read the above two statements one after the other, doesn't it sound contradictory. If winners are the ones who do things differently, then what is the relevance in maintaining a winning momentum. Even if they loose once, they would know how to win the next time because they would know that they have to do something different if they are to win. As I sat before my television watching a game of cricket, the last of the league matches in a tournament, between the mighty Australians and the once mighty West Indies, I heard the commentators say that the Australians would want to maintain the winning momentum before they ...
DrivingEnthusiast network - consistent navigation
2008-07-06 12:52:00 The best-kept secret of DrivingEnthusiast.net is that it is actually a network of 5 individual sites: DrivingEnthusiast.net S2000Enthusiast.com EvoXenthusiast.com Challenger.DrivingEnthusiast.ne-t CarMovieEnthusiast.com And that is the problem. Looking over site stats, we see that few people go from one site to the other. The sites were originally split apart because of different audiences: S2000 owners don't want to know about Fords, etc. (and the converse is even more true). And the Car Movie topic needed to stand on it's own. Hence, 5 individual sites. But the owner has interests across multiple topics, as do many readers. To solve the problem, we've added a blue navigation bar consistently across all 5 sites. This provides an indication of the other sites to readers, as well as consistent navigation. Navigation around the network is easy. Each of the 5 websites has the blue navigation bar at the top of the site: Click on the&...
Ollie is consistent.....Bad that is.....
2008-06-04 03:06:00 The statement that Oliver Perez is inconsistent and you never know what your going to get from start to start is no longer true. That may have been the case last year but this year a good performance is an aberration. I'm personally tired of hearing that he has great stuff and it's just a matter of getting him consistent. Ollie is a tease and those spectacular moments are fleeting. The problem isn't in his arm or delivery it's in his head, I don't think he has the make-up to be a long term successful major league pitcher. Looking strictly at the numbers it's hard to argue that he's been anything but bad......If the gold standard is six innings of three runs or less ( which I think is one run too many and an inning short... 7/2) then in 12 appearances Ollie has produced three quality starts ( 4/2, 5/11, 5/18). In those three games only one of them was past the sixth when he went 7.2 innings against the Yanks. In only two other games did he complete the sixth inning and in both...

At least their playing consistent.....bad that is
2008-05-26 02:27:00 Another loss and another painful game to watch, these games aren't even entertaining to watch. While I force myself to watch right up to the last pitch of each and every game that I can, I have to admit that once the other team is more then a two runs behind a part of me says "game over" and the players appear to react the same way. The Mets have come back after the sixth inning one time this year and generally don't put up much of a fight once they're behind. They will now head back home losing six of their last seven, five of those losses team has scored four or less and the team is 9-13 for the month of May. With six games left in the second month of the season the team most expects picked to win the division is two games under 500 and in fourth place ( 5.5 gms out). The Mets are playing uninspired and lackadaisical baseball, each day they find ways to lose games and with every new low we wonder if this is rock bottom only to be humiliated even further. This team needs a breath...

Stanley Cup playoffs will need consistent officiating
2008-03-31 18:05:00 By Paul KuklaKeep the arm down, refs, you are doing the right thing! I am talking about those ever so slight sticks to the thigh, the little pull to the elbow, even the little hold-up as a player dumps the puck into the offensive zone. We have no problem with those types of non-calls, but please remain consistent, through the end of the regular season and the playoffs. That is all we ask for. Put the arm up, refs, what are you waiting for? Those scrums around the net, after the whistle, are beginning to irritate me more and more. When has it become ok to allow a face-wash, a crosscheck to the back, a jab of the stick to the ankles? It is time, before the playoffs begin, to stop this type of action around the net. Start making the calls, pick a player out and send him off to the penalty box. They will get the message quick enough and they will think twice before doing it again. One more thing: remain consistent with these calls, too!The types of scrums we are seeing more and more nee...

Tri-Cities employment sees consistent growth
2008-03-22 00:48:00 Tri-Cities employment sees consistent growth By Pratik Joshi, Herald staff writer Herald/Molly Van Wagner A welder works on the frame of what will be a new retail center Tuesday on Pasco's Road 68. Continuing demand for construction, wholesale trade and professional services has helped keep the Tri-Cities' economy riding high, in contrast with other parts of the state, according to a report released Tuesday. Consistent growth in the local job market makes the Tri-Cities an island of prosperity amid a sea of nationwide economic gloom, says the regional labor economist. Last month, about 2,000 jobs were added to the Tri-City economy, thanks to continuing demand for construction, wholesale trade and professional services, says a report released Tuesday. In contrast to February's estimated 92,200 nonfarm jobs in the Tri-Cities, Spokane County had 216,200 and Yakima County ...

That being said, consistancy is the name of the game when it comes to real estate blogging, you need to be consistent in your topic, keywords, posting frequency and article formats. How to Correct Consistent ESL Errors
2008-01-27 03:07:00 Ben from Canada writes:Hi, I have been teaching one-on-one English classes to adults for a while. My classes are usually conversation based with some focus on form. One of my current students is a native French speaker and he has recurring problems with using have/has, do/does, and plural 's'. I correct errors and give him a lot of feedback; however these problems have become somewhat fossilized. I was wondering if you had any advice about how to stop students from making these same errors over and over again. I thought of getting him to write down the error when I correct him, but I am unsure whether this will disrupt the flow of the class too much. Thank you for your time.Hi Ben,I have the same problems with many (if not all) of my students. The "s" (either added or dropped) is particularly troublesome. I haven't found any magic key for these three recurring errors. I understand what you mean about not wanting to disrupt the flow. Depending on the purpose of the class, I ofte...

Consistent Profits in Forex Trading
2007-12-05 11:06:00 One of the most amazing thing I have found out is that, most amateur Forex traders believe that the results of the Forex market is not random, yet they can't seems to produce consistent profits. Shouldn't a nonrandom market produce inconsistent results and a random market produce consistent results? What those new Forex traders fail to understand is; Events with probable outcomes can produce consistent results. Experience traders treat trading like a numbers game, which is similar to the way casinos and professional gamblers approach gambling. To give you an example, let's take a look at the game of poker. In poker, the casinos have approximately a 4.5% edge over the player. This means that, over a large sample size, the casinos will generate net profits of $0.45 on every dollar wagered on the game. You may find that 4.5% might not sound like a lot, but if suppose a total of $100million dollars is wagered collectively in the casino over the course of a year. The casino will net 4.5m...

He walks in and out of the gate quietly and has a nice head on him. He loads, bathes, trail rides, and clips. He's a consistent 2D push button horse and has a lot of natural rate into barrels. Jack will never overrun a barrel and wraps them tight consistently every time, so he needs an aggressive rider. Im selling him is because I need the money for college tuition.
