DuPage officials are going ahead as planned.The party submitted 33,000 signatures of the 25,000 required to get their candidates on the ballot. After the validity of the signatures was reviewed by the State Election Board the number of verified signatures were reduced to around 22,000. After much wrangling a court last week a court in Cook County ruled that they remain 80 signatures short.This wouldn't matter much, except absentee voting has already begun and early voting starts in only two weeks.
