2011-12-22 20:40:00 We are currently using all three of the contrast agents I just posted information about. Gadovist, Ablavar, and Eovist. Each one of these agents used for very specific reasons. Eovist is a wonderful liver agent. It has unique properties which make this contrast very special. Ablavar Is great for use as a blood pool agent, for MRA’s. The detail is phenomenal. Gadovist is one of the safest contrasts to use. It has a very stable molecular structure in the body. please look at my last three posts for more information on these three contrasts. New research from University of Pennsylvania engineers shows a way to coat an iron-based contrast agent so that it only interacts with the acidic environment of tumors, making it safer, cheaper and more effective than existing alternatives. The research was conducted by associate professor Andrew Tsourkas and graduate student Samuel H. Crayton of the department of bioengineering in Penn’s School of Engineering and Applied Science. 2010-02-11 03:35:00 Red on White There have been times where I’ve seen 15-20 of these guys (male and female) waiting turns to get at the bird feeder. Thing about cardinals is that they tend to be a bit camera shy and it was way too cold out for me to keep standing motionless waiting on the herd to return. (I know it’s a flock.) Anyway, I just love the contrast of the brilliant red of these birds with the stark white of snow and barren trees of winter. 2008-04-17 17:39:00 SCOTT V. ROSE RACE PROVES IT I don’t know State Sen. Randy Scott from a hole in the wall. I’m sure he’s a nice guy and all, but after watching the above video I’m wondering how on God’s green earth this guy ever won an election. Granted the video was put together by former Sen. Mike Rose, who is challenging Scott in the June primary. And granted it only presents a few out-of-context excerpts from Scott’s “speech.” But it’s incredible that someone could say pretty much nothing and do much pretty much nothing and still get elected to two terms. The video is about three minutes longer than it needs to be and has way too many text cutaways, but it hits on the point that Scott might just be a moron. To see what I mean, go to the 1:06 mark of the video. Watch that for about 25 seconds and then go to the 2:09 mark for another 40 seconds or so.
