2008-06-10 15:56:00 Tenho estado estes ultimos dias a fazer caricaturas digitais ao vivo e a cores na Praça Central do Centro Comercial Colombo num evento para Samsung. Ficam aqui algumas imagens para partilhar com os assiduos visitantes deste meu diario.O ambiente no local é simplesmente fabuloso e apreciar a qualidade do material da Samsung realmente unico.Estas foram as primeiras imagens e também as primeiras caricaturas ao vivo e a cores que fiz... digitalmente. Para falar a verdade já não é a primeira vez que trabalho digitalmente ao vivo, já o tinha feito para quando lançou os Tablet PCs embora nessa altura tenha trabalhado a preto e branco. O sucesso tem sido grande e junto com a nova impressora Laser Samsung CLP-610ND é possivel ter uma caricatura destas em menos de 8 minutos contando com desenho e impressão.quanto ao software comecei por utilizar o Alias Sketchbook pro. The top speed for Q3 is the Core 2 Duo E8600 with 6MB cache and a 3.33GHz clock. This baby will sell for $258 in the wholesale market.The second in line is the well known E8500 that works at 3.16GHz and has 6MB cache. It will drop from its current $258 to $179. The E8400 with 6MB cache and 3GHz clock will also drop from its current $179 to $159. Funnily enough the E8300 with 2.83 clock, the E8200 with 2.66GHZ clock and the E8190 at 2.66GHZ clock will all continue to sell for $159.At this time Intel doesn’t plan to drop the price of these models and we wonder why would anyone want a 2.66GHZ dual core for $159 when the 3GHz E8400 will be selling for the same price. 2008-04-02 20:41:00 Intel has started shipping its long awaited low-power chip for wireless devices, but the company is clearly starting at the high end of the market. The Centrino Atom--which took almost four years to develop--is the world's fastest chip under 3 watts of power, according to Intel. The first Atoms run at speeds up to 1.8GHz and sport a thermal ceiling of 0.65 to 2.4 watts. By contrast, the average laptop chip runs at 3.3GHz and consumes 35 watts at a peak. The company unveiled the chip at the Intel Developer Forum taking place in Shanghai this week. Intel also said that the first chips based around Nehalem, a new chip architecture for desktops, notebooks and servers, will come out this year. Nehalem is designed to go up to eight cores. Con más de 2.000 millones de transistores y una disipación de solo 120 vatios. Además parece ser que será compatible con los actuales sockets con lo que no habrá que cambiar de placa para actualizarse. AMD Announces R680, RV620, RV635 Graphics Cores

Instead of one 80nm behemoth-of-a-GPU, the R680 consists of two 55nm processor cores. Representatives from AMD would not confirm that the R680 is essentially two RV670 GPU cores on the same board, though the company did confirm that each core has the same specifications of an RV670 processor. The RV670 graphics core, announced last November with the Phenom processor, is the first 55nm desktop graphics adaptor. AMD does not target this card as a high-end adaptor, though reviewers were quick to herald the RV670 as AMD's best product of 2007. The company also made quick mention of the RV620 and RV635 GPU cores. These cores are nearly identical to the previous RV610 and RV630 processors, but will be produced on the 55nm node instead. All three of AMD's new GPUs are scheduled to launch next month.
