The APSPR Corona Extra Pro Surf Circuit will be holding their latest event at Domes Beach, Rincon. The beach gets its name from the old nuclear power station’s dome shape (it’s closed now), just north of Rincon lighthouse. At this time of year, waves can be any where from 2 to 15 feet. It is one of the best known beaches for surfing and back in 1968, the World Championship was held there and Fred Hemmings came out on top.
