This event took place Monday, May 21, 2007 at Google headquarters in Mountain View, CA Cory Doctorow is the co-editor of the boingboing blog, and author of the books Someone Comes to Town, Someone Leaves Town, Eastern Standard Tribe, and Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom. A fellow at the Electronic Frontier Foundation, Doctorow writes for such publications as Wired, Popular Science, The New York Times and MAKE. In 2000, he won the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Science Fiction Writer.

La ciencia ficción de Cory Doctorow es llevada al comic por IDW

Quizás sea la presencia de Dean Mullaney en IDW, el responsable de la muy añorada Eclipse Comics, aunque Chris Ryall lo está haciendo esplendorosamente, pero nos llega la enesima buena noticia en un lapso muy corto de la editorial. IDW ha licenciado seis historias cortas de Cory Doctorow de las que ha mostrado ya la portada realizada por Sam Kieth para la adaptación de Anda`s Game a cargo de Dara Naraghi de Lifelike de la última linea creada por IDW. Pese a que Doctorow ha firmado un contrato todas estas historias están bajo la licencia de Creative Commons. Anda`s Game en concreto es un relato en que Doctorow trata el mundo de los videojuegos que ha dado lugar a talleres del tercer mundo que se dedican a crear personajes poderosos para recolectar objetos y venderlos al primer mundo obteniendo dinero real a cambio.
