The newest reports, originating from U.K.-based AutoExpress, have the car's base engine displacing 2.0 liters and making around 180hp, staying true to Subaru's flat-four engine layout, and lacking a turbocharger. This version will be rear-wheel drive, as previously reported, but an up-level version will feature an all-wheel drive system. It will get power — all 300 ponies — from the same 2.5-liter turbo flat-four that is found in the STI. 2008-05-14 16:57:00 [Update] Ford revises Focus coupe for 2009 model year, releases pricing Although the Ford Focus isn't the prettiest face on the block, it has posted impressive sales numbers thanks to its thrifty fuel economy and exclusive SYNC system. But apparently Ford has been listening to the criticisms and will revise the Focus coupe for the 2009 model year. The 2009 Focus coupe sports new front and rear fascias, with a few other design tweaks along the way. Up front, the Focus coupe receives a larger lower grille inspired by the new global Ford Fiesta. Flanking the larger opening are newly integrated fog lights — which are now standard — and Ford's signature two-bar chrome grille has been toned down with a darker finish. Out back, SES models will feature a roof-mounted spoiler, while the SE will continue to offer a decklid spoiler.
