Warren Buffett and Jim Cramer Speak out on 2008 Stock Market !!!
2008-05-25 04:25:00 Image: http://graphics8.nytimes.com/im-ages/blogs/freakonomics/posts/j-im-cramer.jpg (http://shurl.net/5MB) *Warren Buffett and Jim Cramer Speak out on 2008 Stock Market !!!* *The Gurus of the stock market world include Warren Buffett, Jim Cramer, Carl Icahn and Jim Rogers. The lesser known gurus such as Alexander Green (Oxford Club), Bill Bonner (The Daily Reckoning) and Stephen Leeb (The Complete Investor) are all pretty much saying the same thing about the stock market in 2008. As oil pricing per barrel hits $100 and gold soars to $860 per ounce on the futures markets, there is a general cause for caution and concern. The news on the first trading day of the year was not a bull's dream.* The Institute for Supply Management's report that its manufacturing index fell to 47.7 percent for December from 50.8 percent in November raised concerns that the economy could be slowing at a quicker pace than some investors had estimated. The reading below 50 signals economic contract...

2008-05-21 15:05:00 High-voltage TV personality Jim Cramer, host of the popular CNBC show, Mad Money with Jim Cramer is coming to NASCAR. The American Dream with Jim Cramer will air on NBC and tapes Friday with a live fan audience at a specially constructed stage on pit road at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. Fans will discuss their own American dream with the colorful journalist-turned hedge fund manager-turned TV star and Cramer is bringing his own sound effects. CNBC Jim Cramer Cramer will also interview Carl Edwards, who owns his own business (an independent record label), and Kyle Busch, who drives the car the way Cramer talks on TV — high energy, prone to hit the wall, with a no prisoners taken attitude. On Thursday, Cramer plans to spend time in the Lowe’s Motor Speedway garage, interview Casey Mears, and visit the No. 5 hauler. He will also turn a few laps at 180 mph as a ride-along passenger with Brad Keselowski, who pilots the No. 88 Chevy in the Nationwide Series. The Am...
Jim Cramer Earned 30% More This Year While Bear Stearns Investors Are Worth
2008-04-09 09:06:00 Thanks to a silly SEC requirement, TheStreet.com made Jim Cramer’s salary a matter of public record. The stock picker of questionable talent saw his pay jump 30 percent, earning a base of $1.3 million this year (up from $1m) and, by 2010, some $1.87 million. Since we’re crunching numbers, consider what would’ve happened...
Jim Cramer Controversy Over Bear Stearns...
2008-03-22 05:01:00 If you are a fan of late night television you will have no doubt seen the countless video replays of Jim Cramer (of Mad Money fame) pounding the table that "Bear Stearns is fine" just days before Bear Stearns collapsed. I don't know the actual figures, but I'm sure there are just as many people who watch Cramer for stock picking advice as there are those who watch him for pure entertainment purposes. Before I get to the controversy, I will point you to a post by Michael James On Money that discusses analyzing Jim Cramer's picks as an investment strategy. But now on to the controversy. You have probably heard that the U.S. investment bank Bear Stearns was acquired for a measly $2/share after recently trading in the $160/share range only 1 year prior. The collapse of this bank has made the headlines round the world in a very public way. What was also public was Jim Cramer's answer to a question from a viewer about Bear Stearns days before this downfall occurred, which you ...

Cramer vs. Cramer
2008-03-17 12:47:00 The Eliot Spitzer scandal had people buzzing last week about CNBC host Jim Cramer, his buddy from Harvard Law School. Sources told us the multimedia "Mad Money" host had at one point become thisclose to his equally vociferous producer, Susan Krakower. CNBC top spokesman Brian Steel said, "We don't comment on the personal lives of our employees." But gossip-mongers should know Krakower is single, and Cramer separated from his wife 2½ years ago, which he announced on "Imus" saying, "I'm now dating." Rush & Molloy NYDN Krakower (above): "My job at CNBC is to bring up the volume." TV Newser What else is she bringing up? Under Jim's anchor desk - suddenly Susan. Cramer vs. Himself. Mr. Mad Money had some bad advice for investors last Tuesday before Bear Stearns' house of cards collapsed. ?No! No! No! Bear Stearns is not in trouble. If anything, they?re more likely to be taken over. Don?t move your money from Bear.? 1290 WJNO Newsradio video Business and Media

Bud Cramer to Retire
2008-03-14 21:48:00 AL-05 Representative Bud Cramer surprised his colleagues today by announcing that he will not seek reelection to a tenth term this fall. Cramer, a Democrat, was considered a lock in this district where Bush won 60% of the vote in 2004, but it will be extremely difficult for the Democrats to hold this seat in the fall. I expect that when the professional handicappers weigh in on this open seat race that they will initially give Republicans an advantage, pending a final definition of candidates. Cramer will also be surrendering a coveted seat on the House Appropriations Committee.

Cramer?s plan for saving the U.S. economy
2008-01-20 08:01:00 This one is classic Cramer- I suspect you really need to watch him on a big screen TV to capture the entire ego. This is last Friday’s "Mad Money" where he criticizes Bush’s "bailout," [I love it- he’s right.] and puts forth his own plan to save the market. [I don’t think so.]

2008-01-20 02:15:00 Yup, it's really hitting the fan now. Here's the videoWe're just getting started HP'ers. The real fight will be on soon - HP vs. the government and hedge fund managers like Cramer. Will the taxpayers be called on to bail out the banks for their corruption and terrible decisions? Will trillions (yes, trillions, not $250 billion as Cramer says) of your kids' money be used to avoid the downfall of Merrill, Citi, JP Morgan, Fannie and Countrywide (moral hazard anyone? dollar destruction anyone?)Or will Mr. Market do its thing, wiping out the idiot insurers and the banks, and then everyone grabs a shovel and digs out of the rubble? You won't believe what you're about to see HP'ers. If you can, I recommend taking the rest of 2008 off, get your assets into the safest non-dollar investments you can find, stock up on popcorn, and wait out this financial typhoon.Feds Need to Buy Mortgage InsurersU.S. banks are taking a beating in the market because of the billions of dollars in subpr...

Where are the state Attorneys General? Where's the Justice Department? Where's law enforcement? Enough is enough. It's time for the arrests to start. Jim Cramer says if bond insurers MBIA and Ambac aren't bailed out, the bank
2007-12-24 01:48:00 So yes, they'll get bailed out, even if that means wiping out their shareholders. That will stop the banks from having to mark to market their CDO cancer for another few weeks or months. But eventually, as sure as night turns into day, some of the banks will have a come-to-jesus moment (auditors anyone? SEC anyone? Sarbanes Oxley anyone?), and they will fail or be taken over for a song. And the most toxic of the toxic lenders - Countrywide, IndyMac, WaMu and First Fed - will be amongst the first. (I'm short WaMu and should be short a lot more of these houses of mortgage fraud). Here's Cramer's highlights. Love him or hate him, he knows what's going on out there, and he's using his platform to try to influence the bail-out-players now (like he did with his Fed rant). Bottom line - watch for the Saudis, Kuwaitis and hell any old Arab with coin to come riding in on a pale horse to bail out these turds. Jim Cramer Tries Piggybacking Carl Icahn Stocks, Fails
2007-10-30 07:27:00 On the October 12th edition of Mad Money, Jim Cramer interviewed Carl Icahn and congratulated him on the bid by software giant Oracle to acquire BEA Systems (BEAS), which Icahn had been working on for months. Cramer had been recommending BEAS consistently since the summer of 2006 on a takeover possibility. In the December 11, 2006 Lightning Round, Cramer again reiterated his recommendation on the stock stating, "It has obviously been hurt by the options ugly stick, but BEAS should not be punished. That is a legitimate software transaction platform that I think one day, if they don't get the stock up, will be purchased by Oracle (ORCL)." Again on September 18, Jim recommended BEA Systems (BEAS) on account of billionaire investor Carl Icahn's increasing share of the company, saying a buyout was imminent. Investors pocketed nearly a 40% gain in less than a month when Oracle (ORCL) announced a bid to buy the lesser competitor. (A chart of Cramer's BEAS recommendations is shown below)...
