Recently Mr. Honeybell and I were outside being obnoxious, so I warned him ?You know, we are probably creating blog fodder for someone else right now!? To save them the trouble, I've come up with some potential titles: · Does that woman never get dressed? I spend the majority of my life in my pajamas. Working night shift for 18 years will do that to you. Just imagine what you look like at 2 am, only you haven?t the sense to stay in bed. Or in the house for that matter. Poor Monkey Boy has started equating getting dressed with going bye bye. Because that's when we change out of our PJ's. All those people do is sit on their porch and smoke! ~Or~ They look like hookers! We don?t smoke in our house. It causes too many health problems for the boys, I don?t want the smell in the house, plus it?s the only time we can get away from the children. It?s like a little mini date. Phone Boy's Bad Week
2008-03-07 18:45:00 In case I haven't mentioned this before, Phone Boy is an great kid. His intelligence frequently stuns adults. The way his mind works is nothing short of amazing. He has recently been accepted into Who's Who of American Middle School students, was tested for and accepted into the gifted program (in Kansas this is no easy feat), and was responsible and independent enough to travel to the UK for two weeks at the age of 10 as a student ambassador. During Parent-Teacher conferences I discovered he currently has a 214% in one of his math classes. He finished his 7th grade work, and has decided to begin the 8th grade math so he won't have to take the class next year. A few weeks ago he had a snow day. He and his BFF spent the day shoveling driveways and sidewalks for people all over our town. They made $160, and only charged what they thought the people could afford, between 5 and 10 dollars. Some houses (elderly folks) they did for free. We are incredibly proud of him.Now at t...

This is important to keep in mind throughout this post.So I'm innocently wandering the aisles at Walmart (yes, I know--build me a Target next door, PLEASE) when I notice a pacifier lying on the floor. There is a couple in front of me with two little guys in their cart. Perhaps it's some kind of anti-crazy denial, I'm not sure.In any case Mr. Honeybell, Goofy, and I were driving down a main thoroughfare the other day, and there is an older woman walking down the middle of it. She's smoking her cigarette and taking her time, as though this is her Sunday stroll. Mr. Honeybell is able to slow down and drive around her. I briefly wondered when our small town got hookers . . . but she looked fairly benign.Just as we pass . . . she starts screaming at our car (I swear to God, we didn't say anything to her, nor even look at her strangely!)! "WELL MAYBE I WILL AND MAYBE I WON'T!! BUT YOU . . ."
