Buddy?s Book of Fairy Tales - When Dragons? Hearts Were Good
2008-09-10 19:06:00 Reposted and Revised– Bible Fairy Tales. This is what this book When Dragons Hearts Were Good (1999, Master Books) made for little children is all about. Buddy Davis, sculptor and songwriter (But in no way a true certified paleo-artist), wrote and published this small children’s book based on one of his most idiotic of songs. The book is also illustrated by the same man, Dan Lietha, who created a comic strip propaganda series After Eden and Creation Wise, a series that became a subject of parodies being made to refute the claims made by YECs found within the series as shown here. Nothing to review in detail really. There are lots of things worth noting in this book, though, such as the indoctrination of deluding the minds of young children to the point where they cannot tell dinosaur from dragon. This except from the book, found on page 18, is an direct example of this, “One of the strangest pair of [sic] dragons, the stegosaurs, had triangular-shaped plates which ...
Creationists vs. Western Civilization
2008-04-29 08:25:00 John Derbyshire of National Review wrote this column on Expelled which is highly critical of the creationist/intelligent design movement. For example, he wrote: When talking about the creationists to people who don?t follow these controversies closely, I have found that the hardest thing to get across is the shifty, low-cunning aspect of the whole modern creationist ...

Taz Walker whines about a science book
2008-04-01 22:38:00 To be honest with you I just cannot look at creationist emotionally charged writings without getting upset over them. Creationists have master the art of emotionally manipulating people into clouding their thoughts and reasonings so it’ll be easy for them to be proselytized into believing all their lies. Here’s a direct example of creationists relying ...
Why Do People Laugh at Creationists?
2008-03-26 06:01:00 I know I usually write about politics and current events, but while grazing across YouTube, I happened to find an excellent video series on Evolution titled: Why Do People Laugh at Creationists? There are 19 total videos, and I provided all of them for you below in a YouTube playlist. The director goes through such detail, it is really a learning experience for those of you who are science... Click the Headline Link to Visit Copious Dissent and Read the Full Story.
Other Fabrications Creationists doesn't want exposed
2008-03-23 03:00:00 Mirrored here. Many dragon falsehoods (Though not mentioned in the Paul’s book.) are told constantly by creationists to convinced the lay audience of their falsehood about dragons being live dinosaurs people saw in the past. The first one is the myth about Baryonyx being the dragon that St George has killed to save a damsel in distress. It wasn’t. Instead the dragon that St George has slain is a heraldic dragon with bat wings, forked tongue, sometimes seen with woman's breasts, barbed tail, and a poisonous breath, which Baryonyx never had. Plus, the Story of St.George and the Dragon could most likely have been a Christianized version of the Greek Mythology tale about how Perseus slew Cetus, the sea dragon to rescue a woman named Andromeda from its jaws. Claim about The Flag of Wales Secondly, the creationist claim about the red dragon on the Flag and Coat of Arms of Wales being a Baryonyx dinosaur as claimed in Ken Ham’s book The Dinosaurs of Eden and The Great Dinosaur Myster...
P. Z. Myers Gains Fame Thanks To Creationists
2008-03-23 01:28:00 Yesterday I reported on how P.Z. Myers was expelled from Expelled, a movie promoting creationism, while Richard Dawkins made it in. This story first gained a tremendous amount of coverage in the blogosphere, but now even The New York Times has picked it up. Both Myers and Dawkins appear in the film after having been ...

Stuff like this makes me real mad!! >:-(
2008-03-21 00:16:00 Last night, Dinochick gave out this article that really made my blood boil! 2 creationists are giving out tours at a real prestigious museum in Colorado, mentally abusing the minds of children with stupid lies, the most brain dead of idiocy, and nonsense beyond nonsense. How can any museum ever, EVER allow such things to ...
Creationists and Their So-Called Point of Views, Human Reason, and Opinions
2008-03-20 19:39:00 Anyone who’s familiar with young earth dogma knows that one of the tactics they carry out to deceive their lay audience is to present 2 different “points of view.” In Ken’s crackhouse, you will find a plaque that reads, “Same Facts, but Different Views. Why?” along with other plaques that presents in Ham’s ...
The troubles of debating Creationists
2008-03-03 15:53:00 Steven Novella of NeuroLogica has written an incisive analysis of PR strategies that are apparently being employed by Creationists, particularly when it comes to debating evolution and Creationism. I highly recommend reading his analysis, which I present below.Novella writes: Yesterday I interviewed PZ Myers, author of the popular science blog Pharyngula, for this week?s SGU podcast, ...

2008-03-01 08:26:00 I admit while still struggling with the severe deception of creationism, I did got in contact with Ham a few times through email while trying to ask him questions about his background, his propaganda materials with dinosaurs plastered all over them, why he and his cronies do what he does, and ask him to pray ...
Creationists Eat Your Heart Out: Worlds oldest animal aged to 4000 years
2008-02-19 19:05:00 Texas A&M University researcher Brendan Roark announced last week at American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) that age and growth studies of deep-sea gold corals (Geradia sp.) and black corals (Leiopathes glaberrima, pictured left) indicate these animals live between two and four millennia, repectively. Science Magazine covers the story here, the press release ...
Creationists seek foothold in Europe
2008-02-11 11:22:00 Europeans have long viewed the conflict between evolutionists and creationists as primarily an American phenomenon, but it has recently jumped the Atlantic Ocean with skirmishes in Italy, Germany, Poland and, notably, Britain, where Darwin was born and where he published his 1859 classic.

What Creationists Can't See
2008-01-18 04:13:00 Any mass fossil graveyard in the creationists' eyes is the work of Noah's Flood, never mind the real factors behind the mass graveyards, such as the mass bodies of animals drowned in a failed attempt to cross a river at flood stage, gradually accumulating in one spot over periods of time in a scenario similar to the annual wildebeest migration. Nope, they don't want that.Instead, creationists would rather have all mass graveyards be the work of Noah's Flood. That way they can go about, accusing evolutionists of not seeing the fictional evidence for the Flood while making everyone to see only their side of the issue of science and origins and convince them to ignore the fact that there's nothing to see in the fossil record that confirms their 6,000 year beliefs to be true, so they can win as many converts as possible and swindle them of their cash to add to their big, fat pocketbooks. This idiot article from CMI is an example of how Creationist Taz Walker behaves like Don Quixot...

Attention Steven Pinker: Look out for Creationists
2008-01-03 06:59:00 PZ Myers just posted an interesting little story: If you’ve ever been curious about the intelligent design of language, here’s a new one for you: Edenics. Here you will discover that ALL human words contain forms of the Edenic roots within them. These proto-Semitic or early Biblical Hebrew words were programmed into our common ancestors, Adam and ...

Schism?s BACK!
2007-11-16 01:18:00 Jim Lippard on his blog has an article featuring an explanation put on by CMI to why the so-called “handshake agreement” did not work out the way they wanted it. Looks like this could be the beginning of the end of AiG and the young earth movement if this continues to escalate into a major ...
I knew that?s not going to last.
2007-11-13 21:23:00 Looks like the war between AiG and CMI has erupted again. It comes to no surprise that the agreement between the two will not last at all. It just comes to show that there’s absolutely no honor among creationists. Especially those behind these 2 organizations.

2007-11-07 20:05:00 There is another school shooting happening today. This time is in Finland where an 18 year old man opened fire at a classroom, killing 7 people before he took the gun on himself. Creationists are Vitter?s latest hookup
2007-10-02 15:58:00 by James Gill Times-Picayune U.S. Sen. Creationists vs. Catholics
2007-09-25 01:47:00 Vatican says creationism is a ?superstition? that is ?a plague in our midst.?Evangelicals manage to make this look sane.Answers in Genesis, the Young Earth Creationist outfit responsible for the Kentucky Creation Museum, has helpfully brought out the following tidbits in their current edition of Answers magazine. At one session of the annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, Father George Coyne, an American who is the director of the Vatican Observatory, declared that people who take Genesis 1?11 literally are ?a plague in our midst.?At about the same time, Vatican astronomer Guy Consolmagno declared that a belief in the doctrine that God created the universe in six days is ?superstition? and ?at the end of the day is a kind of paganism.?I know what you?re thinking: the Pope employs astronomers? Of course, AiG then goes on to say that the Vatican is helping to undermine God?s word by working in tandem with known evolutionists. While many Roman Cathol...
News & Current Events :: Creationists Meet, Settle Differences
2007-09-24 13:02:00 Author: Eric Subject: Creationists Meet, Settle DifferencesPosted: Mon Sep 24, 2007 7:02 am (GMT -4) Creationists Meet, Settle Differences Kevin Eigelbach Two leading creationism advocates, including Boone County's Answers in Genesis, have decided to settle their differences like Christians. Rather than fight in court, last month the board of Answers in Genesis and Creation Ministries International met in Hawaii and reached a tentative agreement to settle the lawsuit they're parties to. "We feel very, very satisfied about it," CMI Managing Director Carl Wieland said. "We were pleased to end it this way, and glad to have had the chance to have face-to-face communication." The two organizations hope to have a final, written agreement by mid-October, Wieland said. Answers spokeswoman Melany Ethridge was not able to get a statement from the Answers in Genesis leadership about the proposed settlement in time for inclusion in this story. The two o...
Creationists and Flat-Earthers
2007-09-20 00:38:00 I’ve often compared Creationists to flat earthers. Both show a comparable ignorance of modern science. Sherri Shepherd, new co-host of The View, says she doesn’t “believe in evolution, period.” As the above video shows, her ignorance isn’t limited to evolution as she doesn’t know whether the earth is flat or round.

To all Creationists: The Tobe Challenge
2007-08-17 01:17:00 On several occasions recently, when debating with creationists, I have extended a challenge which is yet to be met. I would now like to circulate it as widely as possible, for reasons that I will explain later. (A quick aside: this challenge, which is creatively [as it were] named after the author, also applies to ...

Do not drive near creationists [Thoughts from Kansas]
2007-07-08 00:53:00 At Bill Dembski’s blog, crandaddy applies intelligent design to driving: you don’t go about searching for design by looking for designers; you infer its presence from the explanatory inadequecy of epistemic nondesign processes (chance and necessity). This is the heuristic procedure for design inferences at all levels–animal, human, ET, God, or whatever. If naturalistic nondesign explanations are the only type allowed at the biological and cosmological levels, then why not impose the same restriction on scientific explanations at the human level? Are the drivers of the automobiles I pass on the road conscious agents who plan and execute the events necessary to control their vehicles? Might the doctor who is to perform your next surgical procedure have no conscious experience at all–his actions being caused by senseless physical cause and effect? Are what I take to be the letters, symbols, and spaces of PvM’s post actual conveyors of semantic content...
Don’t ‘debate’ creationists! [Pharyngula]

Will Creationists Ever Stop Their Assault on Science?
2006-11-01 03:51:01 There are a lot of things wrong with this world, but one that is particularly relevant to me is that of creationists trying to change the very definition of science. As such, PZ Meyers has a must-read post on the topic if you’re interested, warning against complacency. Take a look at the ID blogs, and you don’t find the proponents shrugging their shoulders and saying, “well, I guess we were wrong after all”?they’re going to try re-branding and re-tooling and they’re going to be peddling the same old piss in new bottles. The supporting base is untouched. Megachurches are growing?and they aren’t preaching skepticism and the appropriate evaluation of the evidence. Talk to your average small-town good old boy, and they won’t have even heard of Dover or Behe or Dawkins or Johnson or Miller?but they sure as hell know they didn’t come from no monkey. On one hand, you can’t blame the average layperson, there’s a greater pe...
