2007-01-30 04:59:02 According to CountryNation.com, Crystal Gayle’s 45-foot blue Prevost tour bus was stolen last week in Pleasant View, Tennessee, but has been captured by police in Daytona Beach, Florida. Fugitive Christopher Daniel Gay took the bus to travel from Tennessee to Florida where authorities indicated his motive was to see his terminally ill mother. He was seen dropping a prostitute off in an area police were conducting an undercover prostitution sting and was arrested without incident. “I’m relieved that nobody was hurt,” says Gayle. “I do know that the bus must have been rocking and rolling with a prostitute on board, and we’ll have to do some cleaning with Clorox,? she laughs. 2007-01-28 02:13:02 A prisoner on the run has been accused of stealing country star Crystal Gayle's tourbus in Tennessee and driving it to Florida. Christopher Daniel Gay escaped guards while he was being transported from a prison in Texas to one in Alabama on Sunday. He reportedly stole a pickup truck and drove it to Manchester, Tennessee, where he visited his mother in Pleasant View, before stealing Gayle's bus from a storage lot near Nashville. Read more!

2007-01-27 08:43:01 In a bizarre turn of events, the tour bus that normally carries country music’s long-haired beauty Crystal Gayle, was used as an escape vehicle by fugitive prison escapee Christopher Daniel Gay. Gay, who escaped while being transported between states, was eluding police when he began his journey to Florida from Tennessee in Gayle’s blue Prevost tour bus. "I am glad that no one is hurt. I wish he would have gone to see his mother, who is very sick, instead of joy riding in Florida." said Gayle from her Nashville, Tenn. home. Thursday evening (Jan 25), at about 6:00 PM, Gayle’s office was contacted by USA International Speedway Operations Manager Barry Williams to inquire about Gayle’s bus being in Lakeland, Fla.
