Then, the three Queens will rendezvous and sail past the Statue of Liberty during a spectacular fireworks celebration at approximately 7:00 p.m.
Queen Mary 2 Best Luxury Cruise Ship
2007-12-21 16:03:00
Queen Mary 2 has just been named the world’s “Best Luxury Cruise Ship” by the editors of Travel Weekly, the national newspaper of the travel industry, at its fifth annual Readers Choice Awards black-tie gala at the Pierre Hotel in New York. The award represents a synopsis of some 40,000 reader’s opinions about the Queen Mary 2 and Cunard Line. Their reader base is mainly cruise executives, travel agents and industry wholesalers. At that time, people were angered by this, causing disruptions on-board, sit-ins and mass meetings in theatres and public rooms. It amused me because by these people’s reactions, you might have though Cunard broke the propellers on purpose. It just points out that the electronic media is both a blessing and a curse. Irate p...

Cunard Line?s Queen Victoria Wines and Dines Traditionally
2007-09-27 14:10:00
Indeed, Cunard is continuing the classic traditions of grand ocean cruising with the Queen Victoria and her magnificent offerings of the elegant restautrants, champagne bars, and of course the world famous Queens Room, the focal point of many nostalgic afternoon teas. Steeped in history, Cunard’s past showcases what to expect from the Queen Victoria in the future. Cunard firsts include the first transatlantic departures, the firt in 1840. Cunard showcased the first gym and health center way back in 1911. Cunard also held, and still holds, the record for the largest passenger ship ever built. And Cunard Line was the first to offer 3 world cruises at the same time. I expect the Queen Victoria will continue the tradition of carrying Royalty, statesmen, musicians, journalists, world explorers, and the stars of stage and screen like her sisters, the Queen Elizabeth 2 and the Queen Mary 2. In maintaining it’s reputation for food and service, the Queen Victoria offers t...
