I might even skip feeding the cats (which is a mistake), but I never go to bed without loading the coffee machine for morning. I have a lovely coffee dispenser, the kind that only takes one hand to fill a cup. It doesn’t have a timer, so I reach over and turn it on before I get out of bed -sometimes even before I turn the alarm off! This coffee maker doesn’t have a carafe, so I fill a detachable bucket with water to prepare it. This bucket will not fit in my bathroom sink, so instead of taking it all the way to the kitchen to fill (remember, its late and I’m tired), I fill it in the shower. They still run today but they were made back when you could get a cup of coffee for as little as twenty five cents in some places. And that came with refills. I don't know why I am on this whole coffee tirade lately, but I am. Can you get out of a local Starbucks without paying more than five bucks for one coffee? They announced that they are starting to have a smaller cup that comes with free refills for those staying in the Starbucks, but I wonder just how well it will go over. Most people today don't drink just coffee. They have to add so many things to it, it does not even resemble coffee anymore. And my guess is that the extras are going to cost extra but I may be wrong. Starbucks is trying to bring customers back and this is just the start. Many have been leaving because of McDonalds which from what I hear has a pretty good iced latte for a lot cheaper. Still waiting on my hot chocolate tho.

I don't remember exactly how, where, or even why I stumbled onto this website, but it sparked my interest nevertheless. Why? It peaked the interest of the money geek in me.The site, particular a page on the site had a very interesting financial calculator called the Stop Buying Expensive Coffee and Save Calculator. This calculator is a lot of fun to play with to see how much your daily trips to Starbuck's or Dunkin'Donuts are really costing you (over time of course).
