A woman in Pennsylvania was cited for disorderly conduct when her neighbor, an off-duty police officer, heard her cursing through an open window. The woman could face 90 days in jail and a $300 fine. The cop asked her to keep it down but she continued and then he called the police. My guess is she didn't even hear him in the first place through all the yelling or simply didn't think anything of it because who actually thinks they could go to jail for cursing in their own home. By the way, I find it funny that instead of the police officer helping her, s/he is yelling at her to keep it down. Way to go buddy.For some reason when I read this, the first thought I had was of the episode of Family Guy when Stewie runs into the bathroom and yells "You get a job!" at the toilet.

2007-07-01 07:19:00 Kate talks about we might have reached a little "bump" in our weight loss jouney. Nice word choice but let's just be honest here. It's at an all time 0 on the motivation scale for me. Eating a whole pkg of salmon would be easier than getting back on the weight loss bandwagon. I either go 110% or I just don't do it. The cruise sent me into a tailspin. I have 11 skinny sister-in-laws & I'm still recuperating from that psychological trauma. Then, when I came home, my extended family who was so nice to come watch my kids for that week, ended staying at my home for another week. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love them staying with us-they love my kids so much & their so fun to be around but that just meant we were still in "vacation" mode. I need routine, routine, routine. Not to mention all the other "stuff" going on in my life (let's just leave it at that).So Kate calls me & says very nicely that we need to recommit. ‘CURSING’ CABBIE COULD LOSE JOB
2007-05-09 15:23:00 A TAXI driver could lose his licence after being accused of verbally abusing disabled people in two separate incidents. Complaints were made against the cabbie after he was alleged to have been reluctant to secure a wheelchair-bound passenger because they were “only going round the corner”. And, in a second incident, the man has been accused of telling a disabled motorist “F**k you” when he was asked to move his taxi from a disabled parking berth. Renfrewshire Council’s taxi enforcement officer investigated both complaints, which occurred within a week of each other, and it has been decided by the Regulatory Functions Board that there is a case to answer against the driver. The first complaint against the cabbie was made after he arrived to take a disabled man and his carer from Espedair Street in Paisley to the town’s Royal Alexandra Hospital.
