Cheesy Pork Cutlet
2008-06-28 10:23:00
This is my current favourite! Just look at the cheeeeeze! Oooo! You got to like this! That is if you like cheese too!I have to be honest. I didn't come up with this. I happened to see an episode of a Taiwan variety show and one of the guest was rewarded a 'block' of pork cutlet with cheese inside. What did I mentioned 'block'? Well, it looks like a piece of brick! Okay, slightly smaller than a brick but still it looks like a block of pork cutlet. The chef really did put a big block of cheese in the meat. It seems to me that that cheese is the main ingredient used and the pork was just there to compliment it. :PAnyway, I didn't know how it done exactly but my version really simple and it tasted good. *thick skin* The pork is really soft, not tough at all. That is if you did your job will in hammering the meat well. And the cheese! Oooo ....I won't go further. Try this to find out on your own!Ingredients:Palm size lead meat about 1.5 - 2 cm thick1/2 teaspoon Light Soy Sauce2 sl...
Recipe: Chickpea Cutlet
2008-05-28 00:23:00
Image: Chickpea cutlet served with saffron mash. After not straying too much with the four bean mix cutlet to the Veganomicon’s version, I had some ideas I really wanted to work on for this version. I have to admit, I wasn’t disappointed! This chickpea cutlet has much more of a stringy or meaty substance to it ...

Mini Prawn Cutlet Rice Burger
2007-10-17 05:55:00
What happens if you want to eat burger and rice but it's impossible to finish both? Have a rice burger then! LOLzI made this rice burger for my son with the Prawn Cutlet I did. Yeah, that's plain rice instead of buns. Just add some lettuce, tomato, onion, even cheese, squeeze some sauce and you have it.Check out these other rice burgers I made too.Oh! Just in case you are wondering how the rice cakes were made, I cooked the rice as normal except I added slightly more water (1 cup rice with 1 1/2 cup water) to make it more moist and sticky. If you don't like to use your bare hands to make the rice cake, scoop the rice onto a cling wrap. Cover it with the same cling wrap and roll it with a rolling pin or similar. Lift up the cling wrap and 'fold' the flatten rice. Cover it and continue rolling. Repeat till the rice sticks together. Use a round cookie cutter to cut out the rice.Using your hands will be much easier. *wink*By the way, these prawn cutlet rice burgers were only 7cm in ...
Prawn Cutlet
2007-10-16 16:09:00
I love the Prawn Cutlet Burger from MOS burger. Each time I eat it, I'll try to figure out what's in there. I never succeed (because I'm not the Remy, the Chef Mouse ... *giggle*).My version is not as good but it will do. I shouldn't complain since the guys at home love it. Just that, I have been doing this for so long I think I should be thinking of ways to improvise it. Yeah, I'll do it the next time I do this. For the meantime, the family is still having the 'original' WokkingMum's Prawn Cutlet. *giggle*Ingredients:750g Prawns, small prawns is fine here. It's cheaper too.1 egg, beatenCornflour for dustingBreadcrumbsOil for fryingSeasonings:1/2 teaspoon Light Soy Sauce1/2 teaspoon Sesame Seed Oil1 teaspoon Chinese Cooking Winea dash of salt and pepper eachHow to do it:Shell prawns and devein.Season the prawns.Mince 2/3 of the prawns with a blender or chopper.Dice the remaining prawns.Wet both your hands (so the paste will not stick to your hands).Scoop about 2 tablespoon ...

Tonkatsu(Pork cutlet)
2007-05-28 12:00:00
Tonkatsu(Pork cutlet)I will introduce how to make Tonkatsu(Pork cutlet) today. It's so popular in Japan but how about in Japanese restaurant in overseas?I was used to order it there but it was not as good as standard tonkatsu in Japan.I think Japanese beef is one of greatest in the world, but pork is as good as other coutries. So I cooked Tonkatsu in overseas by myself. It's so simple!Ingredients:from the left,Tempura coating(see )Bread crumbboneless pork fillet(dredge salt and pepper) Put pork fillet into tempura coating completely, And then, put them into bread crumb. Too much bread crumb is not good. Now, ready to be deepflied.Keep oil at around 180 tempereture, and deepfly pork till the bread crumb changes color to gold.Done! You can choose any sauce for tonkatsu, but I recommend you buy Japanese tonkatsu sauce in Japanese food store in your coutry. Check it!This is most popular tonkatsu saucein Japan, "Bulldog Tonkatsu sauce".Most of my foreigner friend says "Amazing! It's flav...
Teriyaki Glazed Pork Cutlets
2007-05-13 16:37:00
Teriyaki sauce is much easier to make than most would think. I do agree, it may come across as rather silly to trouble yourself in making a sauce so easily available in supermarket aisles. "It's as ridiculous as making your own ketchup!", a friend of mine once exclaimed. Nonetheless, I'd like to tell all my dear readers that it's dead simple; it calls for only 4 ingredients (sake, mirin, soy, sugar), and takes at most 30 seconds to make! Some might be put off at the thought of finding sake and mirin althogether, but truth be known, sake can actually be found at your local bottle shop, and mirin at any supermarket. Eureka! Teriyaki sauce goes with anything.. absolutely anything: steaks, chops, fish, prawns, vegs.. Take a minute to make up a little batch of this and it will keep in the fridge for weeks. Whip it out at any time to season grilled meats or spruce up stir fries. See, cooking IS easy when you have versatile sauces like this on hand! Teriyaki SauceBasic ratio:3 tbsps s...

March 23: Cutlets
2007-03-23 18:43:00
3. I reunited with old camp friends at a pub night.2. Sometimes a girl just wants a little extra boob. Thanks to Swimsuit Essentials, I got just the right chicken cutlets for that added *oomph*.1. I woke up to a creepy but charming message on the kitchen table this morning:‘I had a dream... We were both in an animal shelter, you went there to look at a dog you want to adopt, the lady (a CEO's wife whose name was Rosemary) said she had a dog for me, it looked like a panda... The place was full of sad animals and cat shit. What does all this mean?’

Cut salmon into steaks or cutlets about an inch thick. Wipe them with a dry cloth, and season them with salt and cayenne pepper. Have ready a pan of yolk of egg well beaten, and a large flat dish of  grated bread crumbs.  Put some fresh lard or clarified beef dripping into a frying pan, and hold it over a clear fire till it boils. Dip your cutlets into the beaten egg, and then into the bread crumbs. Fry them of a light brown. Serve them up hot, with the gravy in the bottom of the dish. Tags: Fish Recipes
