2008-01-25 05:14:00 Daedelus: Live at Low End TheoryThe always busy LA producer Daedelus releases his first ever live record. Since he started releasing albums in 2001, Daedelus has released nine solo studio albums. These don't include his work with Busdriver, Radioinactive, and Adventure Time. He also has released a slew of EPs.Live at Low End Theory sounds basically like a rejected Fabriclive disc. All the "songs" meld seemlessly together and create a 45+ minute long tapistry of dance.The album reminds me a little of one of my favorite live dance records Fatboy Slim's On the Floor at the Boutique. The album is mostly a dance record but clearly showcase Daedelus' hip hop side and eclectic taste. His live mixing is pretty much flawless and the record offers a wide selections of samples.Towards the end of the record there are a couple transitions that I feel are questionable at best. Overall, it's a good record and a fun listen. It definitely has piqued my interest to see Daedelus live.Ratin...
