Daily Record Launches Eye on Annapolis Blog
2008-01-10 15:23:00 The Daily Record rolled out its Eye on Annapolis blog earlier this week. “Things can change quickly here in Annapolis, as anyone in computer services can tell you,” said Andy Rosen, TDR’s Government reporter. “This post will kick off the most up-to-the-minute coverage we can offer. It will allow you to see what we’re working on, to catch some tidbits that don’t make it into stories, and to talk back to us about what is important to you.” Andy and his colleagues at The Daily Record do a great job covering the Maryland General Assembly. I’m sure Eye on Annapolis will be a useful site to visit throughout the session. Check it out here. Here are a few other sites you should check out during the 2008 General Assembly session: Legislative Insider: The Maryland Association of CPA’s Legislative Blog Washington Post’s Maryland Moment Blog The Baltimore Sun’s The Session Blog The Gazette of Politics and Business

2007-01-16 23:10:01 Courtesy of Daily Record When Ellensburg residents Vania and Ken Swanson were having difficulty with their marriage and were on the brink of divorce, help came from an unlikely source - a television program. Vania filed divorce papers in March 2006 and six months later the couple were being filmed for the reality-TV show ?Supernanny.? She credits being on the program with saving her marriage. ?It prevented us from being a divorce statistic,? she said. The show follows Jo Frost, a.k.a. Supernanny, as she assists parents with everyday obstacles that come with raising children. She observes how parents interact with their young children and teaches them techniques for how to better raise them. Once she demonstrates her parenting style the parents spend several days with their children without Frost and attempt to implement her teachings. After a few days Frost revisits the family at the end of the program to track their progress and give them advice to help keep them stay on track...
