DailyKos Thugs Bully Paper to Pull Netroot Nation Story
2008-07-22 14:54:00
-By Warner Todd Huston Just as I finish a piece laughing at DailyKos for claiming that it is conservatives that feel they have to “create their own alternate reality” because of their “rigid ideology,” I find a story out of The Austin American-Statesman where the DailyKos forced that paper to pull a story that had a ...
DailyKos Disrespects Dennis Kucinich
2007-11-27 00:34:00
You read the headline correctly. Last night I was on DailyKos and I noticed a diary slamming Kucinich titled "Dennis Kucinich: Great Ideas, but still a damn bozo". Usually I only visit DailyKos to read the diaries and recommend the good ones, but this was one I had to comment on because it was just plain disrespectful and many of the comments were also. For a while I have had problems with DailyKos, but never felt the need to vent my frustration up until last night. Rather then retyping everything I'm just going to quote what I said. You can find my comments near the bottom of the page under the name "TrueProgressive".Me: Kossacks; Democrats taking Kucinich for Granted I've lost respect for the Kos community because I always thought this site was to fight for progressive Democrats. Markos himself said that the reason why he made this site was to be an alternative to mainstream media. To an extent it is, and to an extent it isn't. What does Kos and the MSM have i...

Liberal Bloggers Boo Hillary Clinton at DailyKos Convention
2007-08-05 21:42:00
CHICAGO ? Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton refused Saturday to forsake campaign donations from lobbyists, turning aside challenges from her two main rivals with a rare defense of the special interest industry. "A lot of those lobbyists, whether you like it or not, represent real Americans, they actually do," Clinton said, drawing boos and hisses from liberal bloggers at the second Yearly Kos convention. This is a rare example of maturity and realism from one of the Democratic contenders and an demonstration of the naiveness of the Kossacks. As if they're going to get rid of lobbying in politics. It would be as practical as passing a law that people can't take money into consideration when deciding whom to date. Whatever rule they come up with, politicians will find a way around it. The best thing we can do is force full disclosure of money received and their source. Hillary should wear her boos as a badge of honor.
Riehl World: Censorship And DailyKos
2007-08-05 04:23:00
The left not allowing dissenting opinion?! I am SHOCKED I tell you. Ok maybe not so much. ~RJH Riehl World article link Censorship And DailyKosFrom its convention, to the website, kind of funny how uber-liberal Kos won't allow dissenting opinion. This below is a comment on this new thread Charles has preserved, it mentions another post that has already been deleted. But the saddest part is that one of the major candidates for Prez this time out will have caved to the radical liberal agenda, just as the guy who deleted the post sited below did. Weak ... very weak. And it's sickening. Secong(sic) diary today on this. The other one finally deleted because he daved(sic) under the weight of his own bullshit.

2007-07-24 04:44:00
Oh my, the Kos Kidz are going to soil their diapers and break all the furniture in their parent’s basement when they find out that John Bambenek has filed a complaint against them with the Federal Election Commission. John B. might be peeing on a hornets nest with this complaint. The Kos Kidz like to spend ...
DailyKos Review
2007-06-25 07:36:00
This morning TeacherKen over at DailyKos posted one hell of a review of Republic: A Novel of America's Future. For those of you who aren't aware of it, Kos is the powerhouse of blogs, with more than 100,000 daily visitors. The exiting news? By the end of the night, the book had jumped to the top ten new releases on Amazon, with a sales rank in the low 2000s. Wow.Of course, we know that will drop -- temporary peaks like that are pretty cool, but I'm in this for the long haul, and that means growing my audience one reader at a time. Starting with you: if you haven't picked up your copy yet, now is the time. I'm only going to quote a couple of paragraphs here, you can check out the full review (and the many, many comments) here.We live in a time where we have seen people resort to domestic violence because of their grievances. We have had the assassination of abortion providers, the bombing of clinics. We have seen groups establish themselves as "militia...
On Ripples of Hope
2007-05-23 23:52:00
Ripples of Hope is the latest stateside organization trying to help the victims of human trafficking in the CNMI. They contacted me several months ago and I made a few suggestions to them.Even though they are dealing with a very controversial topic, for to help victims of human trafficking in the CNMI, one has to admit that human trafficking occurs, I suggested that they try to stay as non-political as possible. If they want to help, then help. Figure out what it is that a stateside organization can do to help the people here and then do it. I suggested that they hook up with a local organization in the CNMI and help provide them with funding.I believe that is one of the things they plan on doing. They are promoting themselves on DailyKos and Blogger. I recommend checking them out and educating yourselves on what statesiders think of the CNMI.
DailyKos Again Attacks Minor Parties, Independents

[From Ballot Access News] On August 24, www.dailykos.com said, “We live in a two-party system. People don’t want to vote for Republicans. The generic congressional ballot makes clear people want the alternative, the only alternative–Democrats.-221; “Two-party system” was coined in 1911 to describe the British party system.
