Jokeblog
2008-05-14 14:51:00 The title of this post is a word commonly used on the greatest hockey blog in the world, The Pensblog, in reference to the guy holding the sign in the picture below. Actually, I guess the "You?re Not That Good" sign is meant for the Flyers? center Daniel Briere or perhaps the entire Flyers team.Photo by Bruce Bennett/Getty Images

Deep Thoughts On The Playoffs
2008-04-29 20:28:00 It's time for another edition of "Deep Thoughts." In this installment, I take enjoyment in the struggles of Carey Price, wonder how moronic Darian Hatcher actually is, marvel at the scouting prowess of the Detroit Red Wings, show the Dallas Stars some respect, and pass along some links and video. Enjoy.

Flyers Advance With Huge Game 7 OT Victory
2008-04-23 09:04:00 I always hear how overtime NHL playoff games are the most exciting thing in sports. I disagree. To me overtime in hockey is gut wrenching and unnerving. Every time the Caps got the puck in the Flyers zone my heart starting racing about 200 mph, and I could barely stay still at the edge my my seat. All of ...

Flyers Edge Isles 4-3
2008-03-30 21:38:00 The shootout goal wasn't the prettiest of Daniel Briere's career, but it was certainly an important one.

Burn the Game Tape
2008-03-02 23:15:00 I wouldn't even be posting if the Rangers had lost, but I'm here because of Steve Valiquette, Brendan Shanahan, and Nigel Dawes. That game did wonders for my blood pressure, and it was a great game to watch.

Daniel Briere and the Flyers are in town.
2007-11-01 13:13:00 Tonight at the Bell centre, the Montreal Canadiens will host the Philadelphia Flyers and one of their newest free agent signed this summer, Daniel Briere. This will be Briere's first presence in Montreal since this summer's bid to acquire him that mainly involved Montreal and Philadelphia. Briere has chosen to sign with Philly and the news made headlines all over in Montreal's newspapers since. Some fans really thought that Briere would sign with the Habs and many of them are deceived of the fact that he didn't choose to continue his career with the Montreal Canadiens. I expect a loud reaction each and every time that Briere will touch the puck tonight. Briere will probably be booed all evening long by the fans who want to show their deception.Daniel Briere showed in the past that he can cope with pressure situations. Tonight he will probably put an extra effort to beat the Habs. Should be a good one tonight.

Taking a page from Daniel Briere?s playbook
2007-10-10 01:51:00 Last week, I was face-to-face with Philadelphia Flyers sensation Daniel Briere. While hockey fans find it hard to believe that since Briere came into his own during the 2006 playoffs, he did struggle earlier in his career. With Phoenix, he was on the bubble — up and down from the minors like a yo yo, ...
Daniel Briere - NHL All-Star Game MVP
2007-01-25 08:44:01 I admittedly didn’t watch much of the NHL All-Star Game, I missed the 1st period because I was at the Buffalo Bulls basketball game against the Mid-American Conference leader, the Toledo Rockets, and I had the remainder of the game on in the background while I worked. I found it interesting that throughout the 3rd period of the game the announcers were constantly talking to Dallas Stars’ goaltender, Marty Turco, while he minded the Western Conference’s net. It was pretty humorous to hear him in mid-conversation when a sudden offensive rush quickly ended his talkative nature or when he told Ottawa Senator winger, Dany Heatley, to go somewhere else to celebrate after scoring and being congratulated by his teammates in front of the net about two minutes into the period. After the conclusion of the game, I was surprised to hear Buffalo Sabres center, Daniel Briere, being announced the Most Valuable Player of the game after scoring only 1 goal in a losing effort as the...
