Someone then wanting to become a Cronenberg fan may pick up one of the following movies that I viewed for the first time this past weekend. Spider As with many Cronenberg films, most people will either love this or hate it. It is slowly paced, very slowly paced so I would be surprised about anyone who says they were indifferent. In my case I was intrigued from the beginning. I thought there might be something wrong with my audio until people other than Dennis Cleg (Ralph Fiennes) started to speak. Cleg is bizarre and obviously haunted by his past. The story revolves around him coming to grips with what he thought had happened when he was a child and what actually happened. An apparently schizophrenic man is admitted to a halfway house after he has served an undisclosed prison sentence. Flashbacks to his childhood show his father as an unfaithfu...
