Présentation du nouvel ouvrage en allemand ''De Gaulle et moi : un conte de
2008-05-19 19:20:00 L'écrivaine Isabelle Azoulay a présenté, récemment à Berlin, son nouvel ouvrage en allemand, "De Gaulle und ich. Eine Geschichte aus Casablanca" (De Gaulle et moi: un conte de Casablanca), qui raconte l'histoire d'une famille juive au Maroc pendant les années quarante et cinquante.Au cours d'une rencontre organisée par l'ambassade du Maroc à Berlin pour la présentation de son ouvrage, Isabelle Azoulay a salué cette initiative qui s'inscrit dans le cadre des traditions séculaires du Royaume que connaissent si bien les Juifs marocains, pour avoir vécu pendant des siècles dans ce pays sûr, hospitalier et tolérant, spécificités qu'ils n'ont trouvé nulle part ailleurs.

2008-02-29 16:18:00 Married couple and filmmaking duo Hamid Rahmanian and Melissa Hibbard are a well-known team to anyone interested in Iranian film and films dealing with Iranian social issues, including how Iran is perceived by the West, namely in the U.S. Together they’ve made numerous documentaries (two of which are included on the new dvd release The Films of Hamid & Melissa: Shahrbanoo & Sir Alfred of Charles De Gaulle Airport). Both of these short documentaries are character studies of interesting Iranian characters. On his own as a director, Hamid was nominated for an Academy Award in the student category for his short animated film The Seventh Day. This short, as well as two other shorts (one a film about a clown and one a documentary about a Korean-American family losing a patriarch).
