2007-12-06 10:23:00 Wow. Apparently ex-teacher Debra Lafave was arrested for violating a probation edict that she was not to talk to minors because she was talking to a 17-year-old girl. Now in Lafave's defense, she probably believed the block applied to teenage boys, not girls, and so didn't do anything wrong. Personally, I hope the judge elects to avoid punishing Lafave this time around. Someone may have set her up to do this just for malicious reasons. 2007-12-05 06:01:00 Debra Lafave was arrested in Tampa today for violating her probation. The violation listed says she talked to a female coworker who was 17 years old on various occasions. The former Tampa teacher was accused of having sex with a 14-year-old middle school student. Part of her agreement included that she not have any contact with minors. The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office says she was in violation of Condition 69 of her probation, which states she cannot discuss "Non-work related issues such as family problems, friends, high school, personal life, boyfriend issues and sexual issues" with minors.
