Mehta has signed on Abraham to play an important role in the movie however the director is concentrating on Luna which also stars Rachael Weisz.Explains the director, "Exclusion is a very ambitious project. And it's a script I'm writing on my own. Luna is something that almost fell into my lap. Warner Brothers gave me a ready script by David Ward. David's script for Luna was given to me ready to be directed. It was too hard to resist."

The heroine is none other than his Guru girl Vidya Balan. Deepa Mehta's controversial film Water is nominated in the Best Foreign Film category for this year's Oscars. Water is not India's official nomination as it is the first non-French film from Canada to be sent for the Oscars. Stella is a wacky comic flick.
