Disappointed in Obama
2008-06-20 10:15:00
I?m disappointed in Barack Obama?s decision to opt out of public financing in the general election. As the candidate of ?change? and ?hope? he should be providing leadership on this issue, not making excuses. Political reform and public financing have been hallmarks of his campaign, so this is no small decision. He?ll ...

Stupid Citizen, Let Us Take Care Of Everything

Not only do some in Congress want this country to work more like Europe, now some also want us to work more like Venezuela. We (the government) should own the refineries. Then we can control how much gets out into the market. Wow. And as we all know, the government can do a better job than ...
Democrats Go All ?Hugo Chavez? To Solve US Energy Needs

Good heavens…. House Democrats responded to President’s Bush’s call for Congress to lift the moratorium on offshore drilling. This was at an on-camera press conference fed back live. Among other things, the Democrats called for the government to own refineries so it could better control the flow of the oil supply. Ah, socialism.   The Democrats are at least ...
Democrats Try to Make Military Press Conferences Illegal
2008-06-17 06:19:00
-By Warner Todd Huston Congressional Democrats announced early in May that they wanted to make “military propaganda” illegal. To achieve this goal they passed new legislation that strengthened previous legislation that is supposed to ban the Pentagon from indulging in “propaganda” for the military. This bill is supposed to stop the military from sending “any form of ...
Hillary Accuses Democrats of Being Bigots
2008-06-10 01:00:00
That’s what John O’Sullivan contends: Her campaign’s excuse for defeat - that sexism trumped racism - implicitly accuses all Democrat voters of being bigots. It leaves behind a poisonous atmosphere of internecine identity politics on the Left. None of this augurs well for her post-2008 presidential prospects - whoever wins in November. (Via The Corner) The ...
How Many Rights Are Democrats Willing to Forfeit?

Democrats May Take Back Congress AND White House
2008-06-09 19:23:00
AlterNet During the month of April, 41.7% of Americans considered themselves to be Democrats. Just 31.6% said they were Republicans and 26.6% were not affiliated with either major party. This is the third straight month Obama's team has enjoyed a double-digit edge. Forty-seven percent (47%) of women say they're Democrats and just under 30% identify with the GOP. Men are more evenly divided-36% say they're Democrats and 34% Republican. Democrats have the advantage among all age groups and also lead among those who earn less than $75,000 a year. The two parties are even among higher-income adults. Party identification is essentially even among Investors but Democrats have a 47% to 25% advantage among non-Investors. May was also the fourth straight month that the number of Democrats topped 41%. Prior to February of this year, neither party had ever reached the 39% level of support. Rasmussen Reports tracks this information based upon telephone interviews with approximately 15,...
Obama and Democrats to limit the size of American homes
2008-06-09 04:25:00
A pilot program in Barack Obama's back yard. has had positive emission results, according to Barack Obama. Citing the wild success of CAFE standards for automobiles, presidential candidate Barack Obama and the Democratic party have drawn up plans to limit the size of American homes. According to the proposal, Americans will be limited to a maximum of 250 square feet per person: "A smaller house means less heating and cooling costs, less building materials, especially wood that, in their tree form, recycles the greenhouse emissions that cause global warming and concrete that comes from our precious rocks. Smaller houses means less encroachment of ancient native-American burial grounds. Working together, we can impose these and other important regulations. Pioneers in California have already made progress by eliminating vestiges of our polluting past. They've ended such environmental mini-holocausts as wood-burning fire places, lawnmowers, selfish comfortableness, and light bulb...
Republicans Just as Green as Democrats

Turns Out Shoppers in Red States Are At Least As Likely to Buy Sustainable ProductsBeing blue doesn't necessarily mean shopping green, and some of the reddest states at the polls are among the greenest at the grocery checkout, according to an analysis of shopping data by Catalina Marketing. TRUE COLORS: Catalina Marketing's 'green shopping index,' where 100 is average, is based on a state's share of green shoppers -- those who purchase multiple products with environmental or sustainability claims on a trip -- divided by its share of shoppers in the company's checkout-marketing program.Indeed, when it comes to general-merchandise products, green shoppers appear largely red-blue color blind.Catalina, using SAS Institute software to mine and analyze the data, found some of the heaviest "green" shopping in solidly red states such as Idaho, Alaska and Utah. While the blue Northeast was predictably green, blue-state environmentalist haven California came in with a subpar 85 index sc...

Senator Hillary Clinton offered a gracious and complete support of Senator Barack Obama’s race for the presidency. She reviewed the historic message of her race which means that future primary campaigns will not regard as “remarkable” that a woman is running for president. Instead, that will be an “unremarkable” event just as it is now ...

Jesus Denounces McCain, Endorses Obama
2008-06-06 23:01:00
In a stunning turn of events Thursday, the Son of God endorsed Barack Obama for President while rejecting and distancing himself from presumptive Republican nominee John McCain. Outside an Applebee's off the New Jersey Turnpike in Paramus yesterday, Jesus Christ told reporters, "Look, it's been a very divisive primary season between Barack and Hillary. I thought my support would aid the healing process and help unify the Democrats." Asked if he was a registered Democrat, Jesus replied, "I'm actually registered with the Green Party. But no amount of faith and prayer will get their candidate elected." Christ clarified, "I perform miracles, but there are limits."
54% Of Democrats Are Stupid

A majority of Democrats think Barack Obama should select Hillary Clinton as his running mate, according to a new national poll.Fifty-four percent of registered Democrats questioned in a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll released Friday think Obama should name his rival as his running mate; 43 percent disagreed. The poll is the first national survey conducted since Obama claimed the Democratic presidential nomination Tuesday night, at the end of the primary season. Clinton is expected to announce Saturday that she's suspending her campaign and backing her Senate colleague.I feel all icky because of what I'm about to say and do: Defend Obama. Why should he pick her as his VP? She said nasty thing about him. She said he wasn't experienced enough. She offered him the VP slot when she was LOSING. It was a token gesture that she's going to try to bring up now "well, I offered it to him, why shouldn't he offer it to me"?Let's face it, Obama would be an idiot to pick Hillary. She's...

Ad Wars: Democrats vs. Obama
2008-06-05 17:01:00
Check out our entire video library at Political Realm TV, which now includes 400 videos.Presidential Watch: Barack ObamaThe Republican National Committee released two new web videos attacking Barack Obama on the day he clinched the nomination. In a preview of a message we will probably see down the line, the RNC using the words of former Democratic rivals against Barack Obama in one video, "Democrats vs. Obama." The most damning comments come from Hillary Clinton, who in March touted her own experience and that of John McCain, while questioning Obama's readiness. The RNC also hits Obama's experience, suggesting he has limited job experience and few accomplishments. "Does Barack Obama's thin resume prepare him to hold the most powerful office in the world?" It's another message you can expect to hear more of as the general election moves forward.Senate Watch: ColoradoThe NRSC has released a new web video that essentially sums up its case in Colorado in a four word phrase: "Bould...

Obama Nomination Causes Celebration Around The World

One of the more ridiculous aspects of the Obama nomination has been the reaction of the International community. It shows that America is moving in the right direction, and truly represents a historic achievement. People around the world ...
Freedom Of Speech....For Democrats
2008-06-04 23:51:00
I'm a bit confused. How come a fictional movie about the assassination of George W. Bush gets made and published onto DVD, but when someone does an art exhibit about the assassinations of Obama and Clinton, it's shut down? This morning, a Boston-born performance artist, Yazmany Arboleda, tried to set up a provocative art exhibition in a vacant storefront on West 40th Street in Midtown Manhattan with the title, "The Assassination of Hillary Clinton/The Assassination of Barack Obama," in neatly stenciled letters on the plate glass windows at street level.By 9:30 a.m., New York City police detectives and Secret Service agents had shut down the exhibition, and building workers had quickly covered over the inflammatory title with large sheets of brown paper and blue masking tape. The gallery is across the street from the southern entrance to The New York Times building. The police officers declined to answer any questions, and at first would not permit reporters to speak with Mr. Arboled...

My Republican congressman, in the spirit of fully representative democracy, has discovered how to best serve his constituents: Let ‘em vote on what he ought to do. Rep. John R. “Randy” Kuhl, R-N.Y., has sent his constituents a franked, four-color mailer announcing the “Fix Washington Project”: Congressman Kuhl wants to hear from you. Between May 16th and July 18th, Congressman Kuhl is seeking your input and ideas regarding any federal issue. Residents of the 29th district can e-mail, call or fax their ideas to the Congressman’s office. Once all of the ideas have been submitted, five will be chosen and posted on Rep. Kuhl’s website to allow his constituents to from the list of five. The idea that gets the most votes will be introduced on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives. [emphasis in original; press release] Rep. Kuhl’s mailing says, “Now is the time to fix Washington.” Now? He’s been in office for 43 mon...

By- Suzie-Q @ 12:05 PM MST Pelosi, Reid, Dean To Go Public: Democrats Need To Endorse June 3, 2008 11:49 PM In the absence of a concession speech from Sen. Hillary Clinton on Tuesday night, top figures in the Democratic Party are set to go public, urging all uncommitted officials to declare their presidential affiliations. Sources have confirmed that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, DNC Chairman Howard Dean, and an official with the Democratic Governors Association are planning to release a public statement on Wednesday morning requesting that the party close its ranks and prepare for the race against Sen. John McCain. The move, which had been anticipated but seemed unnecessary following Obama’s clinching of the nomination on Tuesday night, is an indication that few figures beyond Clinton’s utmost loyalists are willing to stomach a prolonged vacation period for the New York Democrat to make up her mind. GOP Using Democrats Own Words Against Obama
2008-06-04 14:48:00
Would this be considered being hoist on their own petard? (CNN) Hours before the polls closed Tuesday in the final two Democratic presidential primaries, the Republican National Committee began circulating a video of Hillary Clinton questioning Barack Obama’s qualifications to be commander-in-chief, and acknowledging John McCain has this important presidential credential. “Senator McCain will bring a lifetime of experience to the campaign, I will bring a lifetime of experience and Senator Obama will bring a speech that he gave in 2002,” Clinton says in the one-minute video of CNN’s coverage of a news conference she held on March 8 – the day Obama won the Wyoming caucuses. “I think that is a significant difference. I think that since we now know Senator McCain will be the nominee for the Republican Party, national security will be front and center in this election. We all know that. The RNC states they will continue to use the words of Hillary, and surely other Democrats,...
