Health Department announces tobacco control grant opportunity
2008-04-23 00:00:00 The South Dakota Department of Health will offer entities up to $45,000 in grant funding to work on tobacco control issues. Funding will be awarded to projects that address one or more of the program?s goals of preventing initiation of tobacco use, increasing tobacco cessation, and reducing exposure to secondhand smoke. Projects that duplicate current Department of Health programs or grant projects will not be eligible for funding. Deadline for applications is May 5, 2008.
