2011-10-24 23:34:00 As someone who has always had a special affinity for DEXTER since the very beginning (Note: Not as creepy as it sounds, we promise!) we’re disappointed to admit that when it comes to summing up our feelings for the show’s much-anticipated current season, the best we can come up with is ‘conflicted.’ On the one hand, four weeks in, the show’s writing team deserves credit for managing to keep this aging series interesting by promoting Deb to Lieutenant, correcting last season’s wrong that was Laguerta and Angel’s marriage, and introducing a truly terrifying team of baddies (Edward James Olmos’ Professor Gellar and Colin Hanks’ Travis Marshall) into the mix. In the opening sequence, our hero, Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), is foraging for gas amidst a field of abandoned cars when he is faced with a zombified child — what happens sets a powerfully grim tone for the rest of series. That scene is almost so manipulative as to be repulsive, but as the show rocks between freights and tedium in its first two-and-a-half hours, it still makes a convincing (if not yet entirely realized) case for itself as a gross-out survivalist zombie drama. Included are all of the different areas of Ann Arbor, and the surrounding area's of Saline, Dexter, Chelsea, Milan, Ypsilanti (and all it's areas) Ypsilanti Township, Whitmore Lake and Manchester. Amazingly enough as the entire country was embellished in terrible market and economic conditions we still managed to sell houses. In fact, sales were up in October of 2008 by 16.5% from October of 2007. The bad news is that the sales price is down 10.5%, and that hurts sellers. One positive sign is that the number of listings coming on the market are down. I believe that sellers are no longer "testing the market" but waiting if they do not have to sell. You guessed it, for some fall wine tasting and this is what some patrons said about some choice wines they selected in video below. The Dexter Cider Mill will be closing soon so be sure to check the Dexter Cider Mill site for dates and times. It is located at 3685 Central Street, Dexter, MI 48130, just a bike ride away from Loch Alpine subdivision. Of course we could not leave without a couple bags of fat pills – ‘er’ I mean doughnuts. We would have gone to Warrior Park to munch on our treats by the Huron River, but it was closed for Bridge construction, so home we went and sat on the dock.
