For the first time Dia Mirza will be seen brandishing guns and shooting down baddies on the big screen. The cute and delicate-looking Dia is all charged up to show her spunky side in Sanjay Gupta’s production Acid Factory to be directed by Suparn Verma (who previously made Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena ).Interestingly, Dia is the only female in the film’s predominantly male cast ensemble comprising Fardeen Khan , Irrfan Khan , Manoj Bajpai , Dino Morea , Aftab Shivdasani and Danny Denzongpa . The role was first offered to Bipasha Basu who expressed interest but did not find much substance in her character. She had asked for some changes in the script. Moreover, Suparn wanted to shoot the film at a time when Bipasha had already committed her dates for Freeze with Neil Nitin Mukesh . Dia Mirza was born on 9th December, 1981 to a German-Bengali couple in Hyderabad. The actress retains a Muslim name though she practices Hinduism.
