For the first time Dia Mirza will be seen brandishing guns and shooting down baddies on the big screen. The cute and delicate-looking Dia is all charged up to show her spunky side in Sanjay Gupta’s production Acid Factory to be directed by Suparn Verma (who previously made Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena ).Interestingly, Dia is the only female in the film’s predominantly male cast ensemble comprising Fardeen Khan , Irrfan Khan , Manoj Bajpai , Dino Morea , Aftab Shivdasani and Danny Denzongpa . The role was first offered to Bipasha Basu who expressed interest but did not find much substance in her character. She had asked for some changes in the script. Moreover, Suparn wanted to shoot the film at a time when Bipasha had already committed her dates for Freeze with Neil Nitin Mukesh . So Bipasha was consequently dropped from the project and Dia Mirza (who is a good friend of Gupta) was roped in as replacement. Dia Mirza was born on 9th December, 1981 to a German-Bengali couple in Hyderabad. The actress retains a Muslim name though she practices Hinduism. She became Miss Asia Pacific 2000 after being a second runner up in the Miss India competition that year.   Dia gave up her graduation in Arts as she got busy with her modeling assignments and movies. Her Bollywood entry was far from a dream one as most of her movies were disastrous at the box office. The glowing beauty will now been seen in Rakesh Roshan's 'Krazzy 4' where she portrays the role of a TV reporter. Ask her whether this role was already taken up by her in the movie, 'Shootout at Lokhandwala', and the girl will say, "I don't care about length of the role or if I have done a role of reporter before or not.
