2007-10-25 01:28:00 The two shows at Elysee Montmartre were already sold out in advance so we were pretty psyched since last time on the Death Cult Armageddon campaign we had a really good sold out gig as well and the fans were rabid. We got some interviews out of the way and then it was time for 3 different photo sessions. That happened rather quickly, just before we went on stage, usually it takes a lot longer but pro photographers usually don't need much time plus we had to get ready for the show as well. As soon as the intro went on the audience started screaming and it was obvious we were much wanted! A huge and enthusiastic French crowd greeted us with horns in the air as we opened with "Progenies of The Great Apocalypse." A lot of people don't seem to expect this track to come early in the set, even less as an opener. But we think it's a good choice to get the people going, after all it's one of our most known songs in recent years. The whole show was intense with once again a rabid audience...

2007-10-23 01:39:00 The stay in Paris started with a day off. We got in around lunch time and since our hotel booking had fucked up, we were stranded on Moulin Rogue for a while. We finally got ahold of some rooms at the Holiday Inn, checked in and went for dinner down the street. Bison, sirloins and beef steaks was on the menu, but a slight tartar-ish looking burger, which our drummer ate, sent chills down the spine reminding us that it doesn't take much to get food poisoning, even in a "safe" country like France. Seemed like pretty much everyone was in the mood for a quiet night in and no hell raising was to be seen or heard anywhere later on post dinner. Instead of trashing hotel rooms, this time we saved our money and went to bed early, the latter being the smarter move of the two. It's great to have the opportunity to sleep in a nice bed once in a while when you're on a long tour, so anytime the chance comes along it's very much appreciated.Read the complete blog here

2007-10-08 23:16:00 The ferry ride from France to the English shores was a bumpy one, made some of us feel sicker than under normal circumstances judging from that particular time of the day (night)?. Extra nauseated from the wavy water we took a stroll up and about on deck in the cold morning hours. Fresh air always helps, although it wasn't very fun, but hey, it's what the glory of touring is all about isn't it! We arrived in London before noon and as we had the day off some of us decided to go shopping with various results. Another quiet night followed (what is wrong with us??!!) before it was time for another really important show at The Forum located in Camden. We were pretty psyched up for this gig as we haven't played much on UK soil really, not only that but also because our fan base seems growing and it feels good to be able to give something back to them for the support. 2000 people, almost sold out, gave us a warm welcome when we entered the stage. 2007-09-17 20:33:00 Dimmu Borgir was originally founded as a melodic black metal band in 1993 by Shagrath, Silenoz, and Tjodalv. The band released an EP in 1994 entitled Inn I Evighetens Mørke (in English:"Into The Darkness of Eternity"). This short EP sold out within weeks, and the band followed up with the 1994 full length album For All Tid. This album featured musical contributions by members of Dødheimsgard and Ved Buens Ende. Interestingly enough, Shagrath played drums with Tjodalv on guitar and Erkekjetter (translating "arch heretic") Silenoz covering vocals. This lineup changed before the release of Stormblåst (translates to "Storm Blown") on Cacophonous Records in 1996. Stormblåst received high praise from many melodic black metal fans, and is often regarded as a highlight of the band's career. 2007-08-11 18:09:00 Due to a recently diagnosed injury, DIMMU BORGIR drummer Hellhammer will be unable to play drums for the band on the remaining festival dates this summer and the upcoming European tour with Amon Amarth and Hatesphere.Hellhammer's x-ray confirmed a severe neck prolapse causing numbness in his right arm.
