Thousands of cars were damaged across this broad area, particularly in parking lots and car dealers. One such dealer is the local Mitsubishi dealer, which after the storm looked like ground zero after an airburst. A nice line of Evos and a Ralliart parked in front were all but destroyed: aluminum roofs, hoods, and front fenders were all trashed. Steel fenders and trunklids all dented. Windows were blown out. I have to stress about making the food (we hardly have any good pots pans etc here!) keeping the guests happy and having everything look nice!The problem is that we don't have nice plates or bowls for serving. The plates are white with horrendous blue designs on them and the only big bowls we have are plastic!Totally shit right??? For a man this is probably no problem, who cares about the plates? All this is a fact of life, I need things to be robust and reliable, that's all I ask. Yet I must admit I was a bit devastated by yesterday?s ?office? accident. My well padded camera bag (that by the way normally tolerates a lot of rough handling, apparently rolled off my desk and possible as it fell the camera must have spilled out and when I found it the camera and lens where well separated and bag open.Worst was to come, when I inserted the lens it just popped out again. Seems two small plastic lugs are all that holds it into the bayonet fitting, and the nature of the breaks does not give me any confidence that super-gluing will succeed. The saddest part is it is my favorite lens.
