With a total of 297 billion online display ads, the popular social networking site accounted for 23 percent of all display ad impressions. Display ads according to Comscore include static and rich media ads but exclude video ads, house ads and very small ads (less than 2,500 pixels in dimension). Roughly speaking, the numbers suggest that nearly one of every four display ads viewed in the United States was on Facebook’s website.
