So far, Dodd has spent more than $120,000 of campaign funds on his defense. The law firm is the single largest expense of his re-election campaign and it is for a personal matter. Dodd in 2010, while 51 percent say the “probably won’t” or “definitely won’t” vote for him. By a 54 - 24 percent margin, Connecticut voters say they are not satisfied with Sen. Dodd’s explanation of allegations that he received preferential mortgage treatment and 56 percent of voters say they are less likely to vote for him because of this controversy. 2008-01-04 02:33:00 Chris Dodd has apparently confirmed that he will drop out if he doesn't finish stronger than fourth place tonight. Such an acknowledgment isn't a huge surprise. Dodd has failed to get on the ballot is several February 5th states and after spending almost all of his time and resources in Iowa (he literally moved his family there), a poor showing would indeed reflect that his message is failing to resonate with voters.The big story then becomes, who does Dodd endorse and when?
