Sam and I looked at lofts in Downtown Los Angeles this weekend. I’ve always wanted to live in a loft, ever since I saw Sigourney Weaver’s place in that creepy movie, Copycat, with Harry Connick, Jr. Prior to that, I had this whole Dan Tana fantasy about a motorized garage door and driving ...

I decided to play with mass transit today and took the Metro Red Line all the way to Union Station. My goal? To have lunch at Philippe's and to enjoy a tasty French Dip. This is the place that invented the french dip so its got to be good right? Right! It may have been crowded, I may have had 15 teenagers in front of me who decided to join their chaperon in front of me. But I was in no hurry to eat and decided to be patient and friendly. When I finally got to the front of the line I ordered a Double Dip Beef sandwich, Kosher pickle, macaroni salad and a tasty ice tea. All that for under 9 bucks..OK, a little pricey but oh so worth it. If you decide to head over to Philippe's don't forget to add a little of their homemade HOT mustard...you only need...

Living in Park Fifth - Downtown Los Angeles can be a lifestyle as rich as anyone?s imagination.Park Fifth is a double tower luxury residential complex overlooking cityscape in Los Angeles. Breakfast at Angelique Cafe in Downtown Los Angeles
2007-07-23 20:18:00
SeeTheGlobe.com Travel Article :: Downtown Los Angeles lacks quaint small breakfast restaurants, especially the ones that are open on weekends. During the work week it is somewhat of a different story when thousands of employees of multinational corporations take over this area. Delis, cafes and other eateries are then all bustling with activity. When the weekend comes, downtown Los Angeles becomes eerily empty. You can encounter a rare tourist, member of a film crew and perhaps a few people heading to the museum or to see a show at one of the downtown venues. We were pleasantly surprised to learn of Angelique Cafe. It was recommended on several online sites as a good weekend breakfast destination. Its location was not far from where we intended to go on that day. With all that in mind, we made a decision to try it for ourselves ...Rate and Review : Breakfast at Angelique Cafe in Downtown Los Angeles
Downtown Los Angeles' Grand Performances to Showcase Free Musical Even
2007-06-27 01:44:00
SeeTheGlobe.com Travel Article :: As summer nears each year, one of the things I look forward to the most in Los Angeles is attending free concerts at Downtown's California Plaza. These events, most of them musical performances, are put together by an organization called Grand Performances. As their web site states "Grand Performances (GP) is Southern California's largest presenter of free performing arts programs". In the past few years I have seen large orchestral pieces, classical music, theater performances, Pink Martini concert, solo performers, hip hop extravaganzas and a variety of other productions. California Plaza is nestled between the city's highrises in downtown LA, between Grand and Olive (and 3rd and 4th). Parking is available in the underground structure or on the street if you are lucky to find it.
