2008-02-12 02:38:00 This is an awful, boring, and grating record that tries to be both punk and "accessible" to a mainstream audience and fails at both. All I could think of the whole time I listened to this was that it sounded like the band that some "rocker" girl on American Idol would start after she duped her 13 year-old girl fanbase into thinking this music was good. There are a few points of catchy-as-hell guitar riffs, especially the closing riff on the title track, but it's all lost in generic songwriting, boring arrangements, and the most imperious vocals I've ever had to listen to. I've listened to this CD several times on several seperate occasions thinking maybe it would grow on me, but instead it actually gets worse. 2008-01-02 04:53:00 The K-1 NYE card was as expected... I feel like 50% of the fighters spent their time running away from their oponent. Thats not what I expect to see when I sit down to watch top fighters battle it out.However, some fights did live up to the expectations. KID dominated Rani Yahya, unfortunately, he too tried to finish the fight with an illegal kick (in his case it didnt hit). But over-all a good performance.Joachim Hansen was very good in his fight. He took care of Miyata easier than I expected, and shows that he is back! In my mind, this was fight of the night and I look forward to seeing Joachim in the ring agian in 2008! There is no doubt that next time I will be in the crowd.Tamura submitted Tokoro after a very hard fight. He will meet Pride veteran Kiyoshi Tamura in what will be a good match-up.The other fight is between Musashi and Bernard Ackah. It is very hard for me to get excited about match-ups like these. Bernard Ackah is without a doubt talented, but in my mind he has not done enough in the ring to deserve a fight like this. It will either be a spectacular KO, or most likely, a very boring fight. 2007-12-09 01:20:00 3 fights have been added to the K-1 Dynamite NYE card. One of them is a surprise, as Joachim Hansen was expected to be on the Yarennoka card. Instead he will return to HERO's and face Kazuyuki Miyata, this seems to indicate that Hansen has signed with HEROs and we are likely to see more of him in Japan in the future. Miyata is a former olympic wrestler, and was very impressive against Harvey Harra in his last fight, where as Hansen suffered from ring rustiness in his loss to Eiji Mitsuoka. The excentric Minowaman will face Zulu, in a fight I hope to see a realy good show from Minowaman. He should be a clear favorite in this fight. Also added to the card, former WBF titleholder, Yusuke Nishijima will face Melvin Manhoef in what I expect to be a very entertaining fight. I would however expect this to be a short fight as I think Manhoef is a far surperior all-round fighter to Nishijima.
