2011-09-22 01:59:00 Over two weeks ago I was lifting weights. I was in the middle of my second superset: from T-bar row to that bent-elbow-lift-straight-up-wit-h-arms-out-to-the-side shoulder exercise, with a 45-pound plate. I rested the plate on a flat bench, and tried to grip the edge. It slipped off the bench towards the ground, where my right foot was lying. I saw the next second in slow-motion, which now makes me question my intelligence since I did not move my foot. The plate descended vertically, meaning when it landed it's full force would hit one spot as opposed to being spread out evenly across its diameter. The "spot" was the top of my foot just under my second toe. The subsequent sequence of events were as follows: Excruciating pain Breath hold Release of endorphins Adrenaline rush Throbbing pain Limp away Embarrassment since the accident was seen by females on the treadmills Bruise Swelling Inability to move foot much Assumed breakage Wondering how I'd get around since I could bare...

According to one of the sources of Info Edge, there was a significant growth in their net sales and margin which resulted in improvement of recruitment & real estate segment. Now it is reported that the company has invested $3million into Zomato.com and $4.3 million into Applect. The Zomato deal is an all-cash one while the Applect deal is a mix of equity and convertible preference shares. This is not the fist time that Info Edge have invested in Applect. Applect received its first round of funding in the year 2008 (Rs 6.5 crore for 40 per cent) and second round of funding in 2010 (Rs 5 crore). I went down to LA and learned a bunch of songs and met the band and Ozzy, and we jammed and it went really well. I love my Lexicon 224 reverb?it has some really cool modified settings, ways of making it sound like it's not a reverb?but it died and no one can fix it. I've shipped this gigantic thing all over and they say it's too far gone. So, what I've done is get into digital effects more. Now I'm using Cubase and you learn to get some really good sounds out of the digital gear that's out. I'm also using iZotope [Ozone] like a little mastering module. It fits in Cubase like a VST plug-in, so when you go to mix, you just go to your master fader and modify that, and all of a sudden this little mastering module comes up. Anyway, I thought that really helped, especially at the end?it made everything sound better. Those Lexicon reverbs are pretty cool?they always make me think of a David Gilmour-type tone. James Hetfield is Straight Edge?
2010-06-03 04:29:00 So James Hetfield of Metallica got a Straight Edge X tattoo. He claims not be Straight Edge, but Reborn Straight Edge. He mentions that a true, hardcore straight edge hasn't ever done drugs or drank alcohol. I respect James for being poison free and all but I have to say that I think he doesn't understand Straight Edge. Claiming Edge doesn't require you to have never consumed alcohol or done drugs, claiming edge is about committing the rest of your life to being Straight Edge, there's no reborn. You either ARE or AREN'T, it's that simple. Maybe his words are taken out of context or I misunderstood what he was saying, but I think he doesn't quite get it.
