Guy Garvey’s British accent adds up to the mixture of what I can say patient-melodies found on The Seldom Seen Kid. Elbow serves as a more optimistic shadow of Radiohead while parting its way from anything experimental. The band’s previous work, 2005’s Leaders Of the Free World had poor sales, but was acclaimed by artists such as Blur, R.E.M and U2 (according to the product description). That’s where many bands simply fall apart and bid farewell to their whole musical career, but this is not the first time they have experienced this.
