Election '08
2008-05-04 04:12:00 I have been somewhat reticent of late with regards to posting on the blog. Suffice it to say that I will try to do better. . Moving forward, I must make a couple comments with regard to the never-ending election process of ?08-?09. . While it is of no surprise that I am of a conservative bent, I will say that John McCain will get my vote in November. He does have his good points, but he and I have differed more than once. . My vote for McCain does not mean that he has won me over. It means that he is the presumptive Republican candidate, and I refuse to vote for the other side. . Let?s talk about the other side for a moment?.choices, choices?.or should I say change, change. That seems to be all we hear these days. Change what? How? Why? . Change for the sake of change is worthless. #1 If it ain?t broke, don?t fix it. #2 Change is a very general term the way it is being bandied about. . This matter is exacerbated by the fact that the 2 Demorats [spelling intentional], are n...

Some common sense from the Supreme Court
2008-04-29 01:50:00 The Supreme Court ruled today that states can require voters to produce photo identification without violating their constitutional rights, validating Republican-inspired voter ID laws. In a splintered 6-3 ruling, the court upheld Indiana’s strict photo ID requirement, which Democrats and civil rights groups said would deter poor, older and minority voters from casting ballots. Its backers ...

Is waffle-eating the mark of a psychopath?
2008-04-26 18:37:00 The above quote and the waffle remark are both telling us the same thing: That Obama has difficulty keeping up his “nice guy” image. Keeping it up quite simply wears him out. It is not who he really is so keeping up that image tires him and he just HAS to rest from it. It ...

Superdelegates Can Rock the Vote
2008-03-25 18:23:00 The instant it was apparent that neither fierce Democratic presidential rivals Hillary Clinton nor Barack Obama would get the 2025 delegate votes needed for the Democratic nomination, the spotlight fell heavily on the party?s 800 super delegates. The super delegates are congresspersons, governors, party regulars, and honored party elders such as Jimmy Carter. They are the ...

Obama, an Arab-American Liar!
2008-02-17 12:55:00 By Kenneth E. Lamb Sen. Obama’s autobiography is filled with “composite” characters, rearranged timelines, and fantasy events that never occurred. There are more articles than that, by more authors than just Mr. Cohen, but ...

Lame, Halt and Crippled American System

Election '08 - Why am I still undecided?
2007-10-28 17:53:00 I have been a political junkie for as long as I can remember. One of my first memories is staying up late and watching presidential election results on TV. I backed Gary Hart when I was living in Ohio, and he surprisingly won the state. The last 2 elections presidential elections have been a real disappointment to me, and I have watched our country become at the same time a laughingstock and feared throughout the world. So, as the elections near, I find myself not really gravitating toward any one candidate. Obama excites me, but he is wishy-washy on some issues. Clinton seems capable, but she is the one candidate that the Republicans think they can beat. Crap! Maybe I am afraid of being profoundly disappointed, as I was '00 and '04. I know I will back the Democratic candidate, because we SO need the Republicans out of office, but I am hedging my bets for now.
