MSM Worries About Obama?s Elitism and Out of Touch Image
2008-05-06 13:16:00 Maureen Dowd is perplexed: How can Barack Obama, who grew up with a poor, single mother, keep appearing to be the black John Kerry, an effete Ivy Leaguer, out of touch with the ordinary voter? In her mind, it?s all the problem of a low class black kid have overlearned his lesson when he was ...

Elitist? Hillary Clinton Can't Use A Coffee Maker Or Pump Gas
2008-05-01 07:07:00 Elitist? Obama's elitist? Here, we have Senator Hillary Clinton struggling to figure out an every day coffee maker. She just can't do it! How's she supposed to connect with the common person if she can't pour her own coffee -- from a machine?! I guess it takes "testicular fortitude" to work the coffee machine, but if she can't then maybe these endorsements were a big mistake? Of course they were! Check this disasterous Indiana episode!
Who?s Elitist?
2008-04-28 13:00:00 I have dreamed of having enough money so that I can fly my own plane. John Travolta has that kind of money. He has a couple of planes if I’m not mistaken. Not bad for a sweathog. Well, it seems that John McCain’s campaign has its own plane also. It ...

2008-04-14 14:37:00 There has been a lot of media attention regarding some remarks made by Obama regarding ‘guns or religion’. Will Barack Obama Earn the Endorsement of This Elitist?
2008-04-14 01:58:00 The politics of the Karl Rove era were designed to distract and divide the very people who would ordinarily be rebelling against the deterioration of their way of life. Working Americans have been repeatedly seduced at the polls by emotional issues such as the predictable mantra of “God, guns, gays, abortion and the flag” ...

Homeschooling is ?elitist and anti-democratic??
2008-03-17 01:02:00 The recent ruling in California has gotten people talking about homeschooling. I have nothing but respect for parents that homeschool. I will definitely consider it as an option for my own children someday. Continuing the Exposing of the Socialist Elitist Soros...UPDATE
2007-10-18 22:51:00 UPDATE specifics are at the end of this post. It is along the lines of George Soros, via illegal campaign "secreted contributions" to stack the bloggers up and it is being referred to as Hillary's Bloggergate via Media Matters. Go figure.Mike at Proprietor Nation has yet another well presented "argument" as we, together, continue the re-education of the American People the dangers this tiny man Soros is up to while he pretends to be on the side of the little guy.E.N.D.A. To Move Through the Legislature? A hat tip goes to Right March for bringing this story to my attention. The Employment Non Discrimination Act may find its way through the Congress soon. Elitist Pricks
2007-08-21 17:49:00 Out of the hundreds of thousands of potential law students who apply every year, not many will make it into a top ranked school. Assuming an average entering class of 300 students, that means the top 16 schools will only matriculate 4,800 students. Out of the 196 accredited ABA schools, that means 58,800 will actually be accepted. This out of hundreds of thousands that apply. For comparison there are somewhere just over 400,000 members of the American Bar Association. So when elitist pricks sit all day on LawSchoolDiscussion.com (And I fully acknowledge that 2/3rd of this blog's hits come from there), and bash anyone who doesn't attend a top 16 law school, or in some cases even a top 4 law school, that's absolutely absurd. Given the membership numbers of the law school compared to that of the website, there are about 50% of the population of all of the top 16 law schools sitting around on lawschooldiscussion.com being elitist jackasses.Somehow I don't think so.If you haven't go...

Andrew Keen: The Most Pathetic Human Being in Existence
2007-08-17 07:02:00 If you want to step back in awe of the most pathetic human being on the face of the Earth, look no further than Andrew Keen. Andrew Keen has written a book titled, ?The Cult of the Amateur.? Evidently, Keen is an elitist who argues that only ?experts? should manage the news, create art, and I guess control the rest of us. This man is so worthless in fact that he may have surpassed Al Gore.Keen was on the Colbert Report recently, and never in my life have I seen anyone more obnoxious. Yes, this includes Al Gore. Keen more or less admitted that elitism was a positive way of viewing the world. He was the first person I have seen who articulated so vividly the disdain and condescension that liberals have for the average person. Not only was Keen arrogant, but he was asinine as well. Keen stated that the Internet was putting artists out of business because there were too many people blogging or producing art. So I guess Keen would ban people like me from expressing libertarian phi...
Faxed letter insist on Impeachment of protofascist Elitist party of Bush &
2007-07-24 00:14:00 "...It is a precious reflection that the transition from this prosperous condition of our country to the scene which has for some time been distressing us is not chargeable on any unwarrantable views, nor, as I trust, on any involuntary errors in the public councils. Indulging no passions which trespass on the rights or the repose of other nations, it has been the true glory of the United States to cultivate peace by observing justice, and to entitle themselves to the respect of the nations at war by fulfilling their neutral obligations with the most scrupulous impartiality. If there be candor in the world, the truth of these assertions will not be questioned; posterity at least will do justice to them. This unexceptionable course could not avail against the injustice and violence of the belligerent powers. In their rage against each other, or impelled by more direct motives, principles of retaliation have been introduced equally contrary to universal reason and acknowledged law. How...

From elitist to reliable popular representation
2007-04-11 09:52:00 Demos (The Centre for Democracy and Human Rights Studies) national expert survey in 2003-2004 on the challenges of Indonesia's democracy identified four major problems. First, that several years of important civil and political freedoms, elections, and crafting of institutions had not yet generated operational tools to facilitate the rule of law, equal access to justice, basic social and economic rights, and representative and accountable government. Second, that the most fundamental problem was not bad governance and socio-economic inequalities but poor popular control of public affairs through trustworthy representation -- that is, if one prefers to fight corruption and exploitation in a democratic way. Third, that the major reason for the poor representation, in turn, was the monopolization of the economy and organized politics by wider and more localized but still dominant elite groups. Fourth, that the main problem of fighting this was that the democracy movement remains ... |
