The new alliance, aimed at expanding the benefits offered to members of their respective Frequent Flyer Programmes, also envisages that both airlines would explore and embark on mutually beneficial marketing opportunities, a Kingfisher release said. He has always wanted to visit the Emirates to see his football idols, and so last week, I applied for and was granted two entry passes to watch the Arsenal first team train in preparation for the away game at Blackburn. This morning, I took him along to the Emirates getting there just before 11am when the session was scheduled to start. There was the usual warm up, with the team expected to play against Blackburn jogging around the pitch led by Pat Rice. Then, there was an 11-a-side game with yellow and blue bibs that lasted about 40 mins in total. I was surprised at how intense the session was, with fairly strong tackles flying about, very fast movement and passing, and quite amazing precision.
