Which was the most entertaining race to watch…Monaco Grand Prix, Indy 500
2008-05-28 05:26:00
What a sight for racing fans to watch this past weekend and whether you are a Formula 1 fan, an open wheel fan, a NASCAR fan or a like me a huge Motorsports fan that mainly enjoys watching NASCAR whether it’s on television or at the racetrack in the grandstands or on pit road, this weekend was for you, a triple header day that had fans logging the entire day in front of the TV set. So would my predictions came true, well we start he at 8am on the East Coast (at least my DVR started at this time, I for one didn’t as I had been sick due to bad food since last Thursday night). In Formula 1, the Monaco Grand Prix is the superbowl, just like the Daytona 500 is in NASCAR, I don’t know what it is, but even for a person who has since walked from Formula 1, it still draws me in and for this year’s Monaco GP, despite the lack of passing for the lead with only 3 lead changes, this was a good one. Normally F1 races are mostly parades with little passing throughout the field, however when...

Driving In Asia: An entertaining exercise
2008-05-23 06:25:00
I was excited and justifiably so. First time in my life, I was appearing for a driving test. My trainer in his early 30?s made me drive through the narrow lanes of Mahim while teaching me the utility of stretching my right hand and its palm outside the car window and creating different angles and rotations to give signals to drivers of vehicles behind me. After completing 30 odd lessons on Maruti 800, at an appointed time, I with my fellow students gathered at Bombay central Driving license issuance office. Hoards of people had already arrived. Like with any govt premises, touts and intermediaries were busy huddling with prospective clients while scurrying through office blocks that housed numerous clerks. Our trainer seemed proficient with the rules of this game. He made us wait for a while and after a while came out of the office accompanied by license issuing instructor. Trainer came running towards me ?Your Turn now. Get Ready!? He pushed me inside his car while sitting next to ...

I Am Entertaining
2008-05-23 04:34:00
I don't get it when people simply call me a retard in the first place. I just don't! So let me ask you. How in the fuck would you know you're the fucking retarded one!So anyway, if you think I shouldn't have use swear words often in my space (not "MYSPACE"), go somewhere else which you can get your butt scrub for free and entertain you at the same time! Sorry, I don't do butt scrubbing for your information. Your butt is sooo disgusting and sooo gay.I know what I'm doing. I like to curse and swear! If anywhoo thinks I'm not allowed to curse, think again okay. This is freedom of speech and I'm being honest. If I'm force not to use curse words right here, I'd rather stop blogging for the rest of my life and why? That's not freedom of expression and that's not freedom at all. You know, I can't imagine thinking freely and being creative but having to think before I speak and still being entertaining. It's like you people just don't like the way I use swear words but still ...

Movie Night: A New Tradition - Recipes: Olive Cheese Balls, Lentil Koftas,
2008-05-12 16:05:00
I am all about tradition. Even as a young child, I always enjoyed re-occuring events based on a date, an event, or time. I don’t know what it is about me that just loves a good ritualistic event. Maybe it’s the food. Most likely…Now that I am an adult and getting older and recently married, I have started thinking more about traditions, what they mean to me and what kinds of traditions I want to start for my own family. When we lived in Vermont, we used to have Roberto’s girls with us every other weekend, and I loved cooking special things when they were there. Especially in anticipation of Movie Night. We would rent a movie and then make fun food, perfect for watching and eating at the same time. Recently Roberto and I decided that we really need to bring back Movie Night ? even if only for us. A time to get our jammies on and eat fun foods. We have done this three times so far and it seems to be sticking. We have prepared some really fun finger foods and m...

De La Hoya Beats Forbes, In An Entertaining Warm Up For Floyd
2008-05-05 14:12:00
Oscar De La Hoya defeated Steve Forbes by a unanimous decision at the Home Depot Center in Los Angeles on Saturday Night. De La Hoya won by the scores of 120-108 and 119-109 twice. It was clear De La Hoya was the more powerful and better combination puncher, although Steve Forbes put up a terrific performance in front of 28 000 fans. Key Points :- De La Hoya looked strong and his combinations were perfect. His body punches were also vicious. Oscar's left jab was quick and accurate, which is key to him beating Floyd Mayweather Junior in September.- Steve Forbes put up a courageous display. Constantly trading blows with the bigger puncher. "2 Pound" showed good speed and many boxing fans think he can do a lot of damage at 140, if he is to move down after loosing to Oscar. Conclusion : This fight was a tune up fight for the Mayweather rematch in September. It did serve its purpose of giving Oscar some ring time, something he has totally disrespected over the past 5 years, with an aver...

A Miss TLC Entertaining Tip...

If you are ever looking for a creative holiday cake to bring to someone's house, check out Whole Foods Market. I know, I know, I praise this place often (it's my mecca of tranquility and healthy eating after all :)), but their bakery area is ALWAYS poppin in an artistic way when the holidays roll around. I know there aren't any traditionally "flashy/kitschy" holidays coming up for a while, but I wanted to make sure you were all prepared in advance. ;)For example, here are just two of the cakes they had on display this past Halloween:MISS TLC SAYS: Now is that creative cuteness or what?
Create-It-Yourself Kids Kites: A Unique Solution For Entertaining Kids

Great ideas for keeping groups of kids entertained at birthday parties, summer camp, and during homeschool lessons.
Definitely entertaining, no maybes!
2008-04-11 20:25:00
I saw Definitely, Maybe last weekend. It was sweet and enjoyable; not to mention that Ryan Reynolds was cute. I cant remember seeing him on the big screen before but I loved to watch him in Two Guys, A Girl and A Pizza Place. All in all, it is a romantic comedy which shows that although along the way we might make mistakes in life/love, there is always a silver lining in every cloud. Definitely, Maybe closes with a happy ending and it goes to show that finding a true, lasting love is possible after all. Okay, that?s just too cliché...Anyway, I was searching high and low for quotes from the movie; particularly when a drunken Will told April that he likes her. Except for the life rehab part, of course ;) But I could not find it! So disappointed! Last resort- download lor. But I wasn't able to find a decent copy of the movie on the net- the one i got had such terrible audio. Disappointed again! I can't really make out what they were saying so I could be wrong in some of the wordings ...
Small Group: The Joys of Entertaining
2008-04-11 14:21:00
Wednesday was small group at my house. I am enjoying the company of our weekly small-group from church. We are a range of ages. Hubby and I happen to be the youngest at 34. The oldest couple's child just left for college this fall & they are empty nesters. One member of our group is single and another member's husband has dart-league the same night we meet. Soon Hubby will be gone and that will just add to the dynamic, me being the temporary single-mom. So we are a group of 14 of all different backgrounds and I love it.The month of April "Small Group" has been at our house. Once a week at around 4pm I go into a frantic frizzy of cleaning. You would think that I would be able to keep an 'unused' room (our living & dining room) clean from week to week ... but I picture a 'Toy Story' type of scene every night around midnight. The toys, dust, dirt, Hubby's army gear all crawl into the Living Room and have a giant party. I don't know if they can't just find their way bac...
Raspberry Coulis(Sauce) with Creme Fraiche - Layered Dessert
2008-04-10 16:22:00
When you think about making desserts, fruits are one of the main ingredients most of the times. One of the easiest and most satisfying way of eating seasonal fruits is by making coulis, compote or preserves out of them, without giving up their nutritional value. Raspberry Coulis is one of the preferred toppings for many desserts. Coulis, traditionally a french recipe, is a form of thick sauce made from puréed and strained vegetables or fruits, and used as a base for other sauces or as toppings... Recipe: Tiella di Cozze (Mussel Casserole) and Yogurt Carrot Cake redux
2008-03-31 15:59:00
Recently we had my family over for an open house. We have been in our new place for a while now and not everyone had been here to see it. So we decided to do a luncheon. I had two ideas going into this party ? I wanted to make something rustic and old-school hearkening back to the times that Italians stopped what they were doing to enjoy a nice lunch spread together out in the fields, on a big slab of wood turned into a table. Also along this theme, I really wanted to make something using ingredients that we already had at home. Too many times when preparing for a party, I decide on a menu and then go and buy all the ingredients. This time, I wanted to challenge myself more and use what was around. We had been to the Farmer’s market the day before and had gotten our staples: potatoes, tomatoes, squashes, onions and beautiful bread. We also had a bag of frozen mussels in the freezer. So I decided to make a regional dish from Puglia, called Tiella di Cozze or Mussel Casserole ?...
The First Steps Towards Luxurious yet Affordable Kitchen Designs
2008-03-29 20:48:00
Lately, I guess I've been watching a lot of HGTV and design shows because I've been tingling to attempt a kitchen makeover on my own. I was not looking for a drastic makeover, but we all know that the Kitchen is one of the most important spaces in a house, especially for a woman. So it makes a lot of sense to design it so that it reflects your style and budget, at the same time looks appealing, inviting and worthy of entertaining. But contrary to popular belief, a luxurious kitchen does not... Please Click the Title for the Full Post

All types of entertaining!
2008-03-21 16:44:00
Last night I watched a show called, "I know My Kid Is A Star." I had never seen a commercial for this show before, but it was soooo good. For starters, all the moms on the show are overbearing, and all the kids have no talent. Secondly, the show is hosted by Danny Bonaduce, enough said. I fell in love with this show the same way I fell in love with "Operation Repo." Take a sneak peak at the commercial, but it really doesn't do this show any justice. You can check out an excellent re-cap of the show HERE.
This Ought To Be Entertaining

Far from putting the controversial issue of race behind him, Barack Obama has decided to address the issue head on in a speech Tuesday. "race in this campaign " href="http://politicalticker.bl-ogs.cnn.com/2008/03/17/obama-se-t-to-deliver-speech-on-race-wri-ght/">I am going to be talking not just about Reverend Wright, but the larger issue of race in this campaign ? which has ramped up over the last couple of weeks," Obama told reporters in Monaca, Pennsylvania. Obama's chief strategist David Axelrod characterized the speech, to be delivered in Philadelphia, as "a discussion on race and politics." "Given the events of the last few weeks, Obama felt it was time to address the issue of race and politics directly, and what it means in our country," Axelrod said. Mark your calendars folks.  This is "make or break" for Obama.  If he manages to persuade people that he does indeed disagree with his pastor, Hillary's sunk.  If he comes across as being sneaky and underhanded...

Hosting a Cocktail Party Can Be An Easier Way to Entertain!
2008-03-06 20:32:00
Cocktail parties are a fun way to catch up with old friends, or entertain people from work. And they are so much easier to plan and execute as these parties last for mostly an hour or two, and as the menu has only drinks and appetizers, perhaps some desserts, they do not require a lot of work! The other thing I love about cocktail parties is that they can easily be hosted inside your house, out on a patio or club-house, or you can choose to host a happy-hour at a restaurant or cafe, which can... Recipe: Spicy Mayan Hot Chocolate
2008-02-14 14:56:00
Happy Valentine’s Day! Today is the day to celebrate the strongest power in the universe. Love. So since we are all slaves to it, in one fashion or another, here the music of the day: Have you seen the movie, Chocolat? You know the one where Juliette Binoche plays Vianne, a woman who through her chocolate confections, changes peoples lives by unleashing their hidden desires? Who has a knack for guessing the favorite confections of the people in the village based on a basic understanding of the human desire? Where until she lets her own desires take over, she cannot guess the favorite chocolate of the one she secretly desires ? aka Johnny Depp? Well I guess I have always fancied myself a cook’s version of this archetype. The Kitchen Witch. Who through blending the perfect balance of tastes and textures can win the heart of any person. I truly believe that the way to anyone’s heart is through food, not the physical food itself, but the energy that goes into it as...

A List of Best Aphrodisiac Foods for Valentine's Day
2008-02-10 22:31:00
Celebrated as the most romantic day of the year, Valentine's Day brings with it flowers, candies, cookies, chocolates, cupid, candlelight and love. Our romantic fantasies may begin with Cupid and Roses, but somehow they always seem to end with luscious food, because no celebration is complete without delicious food, and perhaps some alcohol! It is probably a universal belief that certain food and beverages can act as strong aphrodisiacs due to certain chemicals they release in our bodies, as chocolate has been proven to do. But most of the times they excite many of our senses through a combination of taste, texture and appearance. The shape of some foods is highly associated with arousal in humans. But whatever may be the reason, it's always a good idea to familiarize yourself with some foods that can act as aphrodisiacs, and as Valentine's Day is around the corner, whether you are planning a romantic dinner or looking for gift ideas, here's something that will keep you right on...
