2008-06-18 02:07:00 El alcalde de Estepona, detenido junto a otras veintidos personas por corrupción urbanística.Los delitos: cohecho, tráfico de influencias y prevaricación Estepona funcionaba con "el mismo patrón" que Marbella- Estepona tenía abiertos 1.578 expedientes por irregularidades urbanísticas. Están registrando la vivienda particular del alcalde. La operación policial que se desarrolla en la localidad malagueña de Estepona, donde agentes de la Unidad contra la Delincuencia y el Crimen Organizado (Udyco) de la Policía han entrado hoy en el Ayuntamiento con el alcalde, Antonio Barrientos (PSOE), escoltado. El propio Barrientos, ha sido detenido. Antonio Barrientos, Alcalde de Estepona, del PSOE, ha sido detenido en una gran operación contra la corrupción junto a una veintena más de implicados, entre ellos varios concejales. Son muchos quienes pensaban que la Operación Malaya se había limitado a la superficie, obviando las relaciones y los indicios que apuntaban a las altas esferas del Gobierno andalúz. Seguramente la operación de Estepona vuelva a quedarse corta y no vaya más arriba, pero en cualquier caso no hay más que felicitarse por la caída de otro alcalde corrupto.
