Showing you how a congressman, chosen by god to save people and the animal from the big flood. I enjoyed it nonetheless. It's silly and funny. The animals are fun to watch. Plus, to see Morgan Freeman as god was pretty entertaining.This movie is light and relaxing. Portrays a family that's falling apart because of the madness but still managed to find their way back to each other. Suitable for parents to take their kids to, I'm sure they will love it. But for the others, other than a few good laugh, it's just another movie.For this one, I'll give 3 stars as this is a good kiddie movie though. Kinda remind me of Jumanji.

Evan Almighty Review - Rent it.
2007-06-23 03:19:00 Not a clip from the movie I watched Evan Almighty today. Personally, I loved it. I still think that $175,000,000 was way too much that they spent on it though. I love Steve Carell, and his antics. He's so good at those awkward moments - it's so funny when he's in an awkward situation. You'll get some laughs and stuff, and some heartfelt moments. The laughs do not compare to any other movie out these days - they don't compare... in a negative way. The CGI was good - and they didn't do that cheesy "oh the animals talk!" stuff. But they didn't do anything to "blow you away". It seems like a simple story with a good, heartfelt message. It's like one of those movies that you wouldn't really want to watch in a theater. Maybe renting it, or watching it in class would make you love it. The Reason Why I Like It: It has a good message. It's clean, but still funny - to me... which means it can be VERY corny). Didn't think the Shrek movies were that funny? Were you annoyed by the sexism in one of the guy-centric comedies that seem to be taking over the genre? Didn't crack a smile during Napoleon Dynamite?
