And each morning that the bailout bill seems doomed, the stock market futures point up? Am I crazy or is the stock market telling government to stay out of the way? Sure, eliminate the manipulations and regulatory intrigue and then stay out of the way. All the news stations are suggesting that a deal has been cut, and that a Senate vote will take place tonite after sunset to pass a third version of the bailout (now rescue) bill. This bill raises the deposit insurance levels for FDIC insured accounts, and features more "rescue" language and less bailout. Conservative writers are saying "no" to anything except letting the market work it's own way out of this jamb.
