Digital Art: Explore Illustration
2008-05-30 17:51:00
Author: Rich GoldmanDigital illustration is big business these days. A quick look at roadside billboards, club flyers or magazine covers should be enough to convince anyone that the art of the digital designer has never been in higher demand, and its popularity just keeps on growing. But defining exactly what digital illustration is proves tricky. We all know what the words mean, yet the myriad of ways in which illustration can be applied makes it one of the most versatile of the creative arts and as such, it's pretty difficult to pin down. With a strong creative vision and the right software, concepts can be articulated in limitless ways; each style opening new doors for expression. The one crucial skill that ties it all together is the need for some innate artistic ability. You don't need to be a virtuoso with a pencil to be good at computer art, but there's no doubt that most professional illustrators are proficient with traditional art techniques. The basics of image structure a...
SOURCING: EXPLORE ALL WAYS
2008-05-27 20:12:00
In sourcing or in finding candidates for a position, limiting yourself is like signing your own death certificate. Never, ever do this in sourcing because it will just defy your goal which is to have a rich resource of candidates in the most managed ways possible. This is the reason why I entitled my blog entry as such. In sourcing, you should be creative as possible if ever the "traditonal" way does not have a quality outcome. These belonging to the traditional way includes the ads (online or newspaper), word of mouth, referrals, and such. There are other alternatives like organizing a job fair in unlikely places which you think could yield additional turn-out. Thinking out of the box would lead you in exploring another opportunity that could be worthwhile for your company and your HR future.  Image source: Stockxpert

Explore art and history from the American west
2008-05-22 07:30:00
There are places you can go and see that are museums unto themselves. I was reminded of this while recently watching an episode of Ghost Hunters where the TAPS team was doing an investigation at the OK Coral. Aside from their normal duties, they were all taken aback by the feel that they had been transported back in time in the setting of the historic American west. And yet we all know stories about bank robbers, outlaws, and ghost towns, but seldom do we stop to think of how this unique culture has impacted our world artistically. For people interested in learning about the American west and delving into the rare works of art that have been gathered over the past couple hundred years, the Stark Museum of Art in Orange, Texas is a must see. While a student at the University of Texas in the 1920, H.J. Lutcher Stark began collecting rare items from the American west. With annual trips to their ranch in Colorado, Stark and his wife Nelda Childers stopped at various locations along the ...
Archaeologists explore prehistoric heritage of the Sahara
2008-05-19 13:44:00
Madrid, May 19 (ANI): A team of archaeologists is making the first catalogue of the prehistoric heritage of the Western Sahara. The team, which comprises of Basque and Sahrawi archaeologists is exploring the region of Tiris, a vast desert area south of Western Sahara, to find more about the past of this inhospitable region. Led by Andoni Saenz de Buruaga, a professor at the Basque public university UPV, the team is visiting the Western Sahara for a fifth time. “We presented our research project to the Sahrawi Government in 2004. It was very well received and we have been given every chance. The results are very good, we have really made progress and that encourages us to travel for the fifth time to the region of Tiris”, said Saenz de Buruaga. The research of the Basque archaeologists covers an area of 30,000 km2, three times the surface of Navarre, a region in northern Spain. In five years’ work, the Basque archeologists have catalogued more than 300 archaeological sites, inc...
6 Steps to explore your emotional matrix
2008-05-19 13:38:00
Many authors claim our conscious perceptions and reasoning minds only play minor roles in our true abilities to explain or resolve emotion. Let's say an underlying feeling substrate connects us all, a matrix invisible to the normal eye, yet sensed by everyone from birth.  Does conventional learning teach us to ignore or miscontrue our experience? All human beings have untapped power and access to deeper self-understanding. We each create an 'emotional matrix' or template as a guide. This is shaped by our vibes. The wider grid organizes normal energy all around you and expands your awareness when you're ready to discern its power. Consider 6 steps to better understand your emotional matrix;1) Review history. Man's early evolution used the mind to create and expand an energy field. This matrix is believed to have intensified through trance-induced states of a tribe. These people engaged in rituals with repeated rhythm and patterns that resonated at a specific frequency. Chan...

"Calcium And Weight Loss - Explore A Secret To Lose Weight" was written by Priya Shah from Natural Weight Loss Tips. Are you dieting your way to bone loss?Calcium and weight loss - Are you dieting your way to bone loss Are you aware that the diet you follow may be depleting your bones of essential nutrients and increasing your chances of developing osteoporosis? Popular diets may promise quick weight loss, but calcium and other important nutrients are often missing from the menu, which can lead to bone loss. And women who consistently limit what they eat to avoid gaining weight may undermine the health of their bones, according to a study by ARS researchers in California. The study looked at the eating behavior of women between the ages of 18 and 50 and found that those classified as "restrained eaters" had significantly lower bone mineral density and bone mineral content (key indicators of overall bone strength and health) than women who said they weren't concerned about what they at...

Explore Liberty City with Google Map application
2008-05-04 05:48:00
Between the comprehensive in-game map, the GPS-imbued minimap, and the TomTom-esque functionality of certain vehicles, we've yet to misplace ourselves within Liberty City's digital boroughs. Still, if you find yourself lost whilst playing Grand Theft Auto IV, we guess this Liberty City map application using the Google Maps interface would come in handy. A number of user contributions have already been made to the map, showing the location of hidden items, easter eggs, pigeon locations, stunt jumps, and yes, even hookers, whom we assume were fitted with GPS locaters by trained prostitute handlers before being released back into the wild. It makes for a useful cartographical companion for those with a laptop near their console of choice -- if you don't mind ruining the fun of exploring the nooks and crannies of Rockstar's intricately crafted metropolis for yourself, that is.
