Then perhaps you should shift your attention toward the Fallout 3 Survival Edition instead. Well Bethesda looks to be making this one as worth it as they can, by cramming it full of creative extras.This isn't just a simple "Making of" DVD (though there is one of those too). There's also the bobble head, the 100 page hardcover art book, and the nuclear-devastation ready lunch box to hold it all in. Plus, y'know, the game.That is the most important part after all, but to tell the truth this looks like a great example of how to do a CE right. 2008-05-08 14:19:00 Announced today was that Inon Zur has created the original musical score for Bethesda Softworks’ post-apocalyptic game, Fallout 3. Zur, an award-winning composer, has created numerous scores for films, television, and new media. Most recently, he composed music for CBS’ Ghost Whisperer: The Other Side TV webisode series as well as the Marvel Kids webisodes for Iron Man. But you know better from music in Crysis and the Warhammer 40,000 expansions. Fallout 3 Collector?s Edition Revealed
2008-04-12 15:23:00 Specialist retailer GameStop has revealed details for the Collector's Edition of Fallout 3, the upcoming post-apocalyptic action-RPG sequel from Bethesda. It will be packaged in a special Vault-Tech Lunch Box and will include a Vault Boy bobble-head, a hardcover art book and a making-of DVD, as well as the highly anticipated game itself. The pricing comes in at the standard $79.99 for the console versions (PS3 and Xbox 360), with the PC version coming in at a cheaper $69.99. The regular edition of the game will retail for $59.99 and $49.99 on consoles and PC, respectively. Fallout 3 is scheduled for release this Fall. No definite release date is known at the moment.

Their previous 3rd-person efforts have been laughable at best. We've seen how Oblivion turned out compared with Morrowind when it was made with the Xbox in mind. The UI at the very least is likely to suffer, as Oblivion's UI was clearly built for consoles only. Look forward to relying on user mods to fix most things a PC user. No level scaling is definitely a good thing, although there will be a few people who complain about the level 20 character cap. 2007-05-16 09:25:00 Twenty days to go before Bethesda Software unveils its trailer of Fallout 3. Fans of the game who have been keeping up with the site must be shaking in anticipation. We know we are. Set in a post-apocalyptic world, the Fallout series is one of the best RPG series to date. Fallout 3 is set to be released on the PC but rumor has it that it will be heading to some of the other next-gen consoles as well. This newest iteration seeks to do its forefathers proud with Bethesda promising to remain true to its source material. That said, the countdown artwork is stunning to say the least. Seeing the White House and that aircraft carrier really made us stop and admire the amount of detail in it. If this is a sign of how the in-game graphics will look like, then we’re in for a very wild time. So when will the game be out? It's been great playing it, and what a great game it is - more to come on that once I finish the game.A brief background of the Fallout story... the game is set in a post-nuclear wasteland. Following a disastrous nuclear war, people retreated to Vaults - high-tech underground shelters fully equipped to support life. You play the part of a dweller of Vault 13. You have never seen the outside world before, but you are chosen to venture out to find a replacement chip for the water system before the supply runs out for the Vault. So, into the wasteland you go; a dusty and corrupt California with dangers including giant scorpions, mutants, bandits and radiation.I'll post some full reviews of Fallout 1 & 2 when I get the chance!Shane |
