2008-04-01 00:07:00 Well, this just takes the cake. Barack Obama was on The View Friday, and Joy Behar asked Barack about the media reports that he is related to Brad Pitt. The news originally came from the New England Historic Genealogical Society (NEHGS): researcher Gary Boyd Roberts issued a press release via NEHGS of the alleged family ties presidential candidates Obama, Hillary Rodham Clinton, and John McCain have. The media took this news and ran with it (at least the Obama and Clinton portion of it), and it immediately hit all of the networks and was spat back out as fact via feeds to local news affiliates across America.

Bonsall, 25, pleaded guilty to third-degree assault but three other charges against him were dismissed. He was arrested in March after his girlfriend told police he poured an alcoholic drink on her face while she slept, put her in a choke hold and threw her onto a bed when she tried to leave.

2007-09-04 03:34:00 Brian Bonsall, former T.V. star, who played Andy Keaton in "Family Ties," pleaded guilty to third-degree assault in a case involving his girlfriend and was sentenced to two years' probation, said prosecutors.Three other charges against Bonsall, 25, were dismissed under a plea agreement entered on Friday. He was arrested previously after his girlfriend claimed he poured an alcoholic drink on her face while she slept, and put her in a choke hold and threw her onto a bed when she tried to leave. Bonsall told investigators that he acted in self-defense after his girlfriend cut his arm and face with a steak knife. She denied the accusation and wasn't charged in the case. Bonsall, like so many other celebrities gone wrong, went through a 30-day rehab program and has been sober for over five months.
