Is Bernanke Backing Barney Fife, I mean Frank?
2008-05-06 05:38:00 The Federal Reserve released the transcript of this evening’s speech by Ben Bernanke at the Columbia Business School’s 32nd Annual Dinner, New York. This Wouldn’t Happen With Barney Fife
2008-04-14 02:50:00 I recently read a Reuters story about cops in China. In China, it airs on the Panda Network. Get it, Cops is on FOX here and in China it would be a Panda? Seriously, I worked on that one during my entire conference call the other day. Oh well. It seems that a new policy has been issued for police in one of China’s provinces. I guess instead of a police policy, it should be called a policey? You’re right; that wasn’t funny. The new policy states that officers who have received a write-up (as we call it here in the states. My Chinese is a little rusty, so we’ll just go with that) or are facing relationship or financial stresses are going to lose their department issued guns. Uh, does that strike anyone else as you know, ODD?Does this redefine the term ‘police state’ for anyone else? Does anyone else wonder how bad things are when officers can still be on patrol but are deemed too ‘something’ to be able to carry weapons? Does anyone else refer to police as ‘Barney’ ...
Barney Fife was in the paper.....
2008-03-20 23:57:00 So I now have something to throw darts at. You think I'm joking? It's already up. He may wear the exact same uniform as my Mother... but he does not deserve to wear that uniform. And yes, it did make me feel just a little bit better to put his picture up in front of the dart board. *note* The photo is obviously edited in photoshop to cover his REAL mug. It's a small world.
Barney Fife and Tele-Evangelists
2007-11-12 05:41:00 We are still going strong in the book of Titus! This tiny little book is packed with so much relevancy for the modern church! Today we had a little fun, as we talked about the Cretans. I kind of get this weird vibe, when I read about the Cretans, and I picture them as cheezy and hokey Tele-evangelist.I'm not knocking tv Evangelist,,,,but sometimes they do so much to spread infection within the church. Health and Wealth Gospels mixed in with an obvious extravagant lifestyle,,,,which paints a horrid picture of true Christianity. As we read about the Cretans, especially those of Jewish Descent. We see people that are consumed with strict dogma, Mystic Beliefs, immoral life, and a love for money. This just rings the bells of stero-typical con preachers. In the rural we must always be careful to guard ourselves from false preachers, they may be coming through on the television. Not all TV preachers are bad. Not at all! But make sure you are able to discern whether or not a man is preachi...

2nd Fife
2007-04-05 00:31:00 Headline from CNN.com: Virtual Feds Visit Second Life Casinos. Apparently the creators of the online game had a major virtual reality check when they realized they might be legally responsible any illegal gambling going on in their faux world. So they actually asked the Feds to investigate the casinos, where their currency of lindens are exchanged for real world dollars, in order to determine what, if any, actions need to be taken. The legality of it all isn't that interesting to me. What is interesting is the idea of FBI agents signing on to this crazy game, creating virtual identities, and walking around the world of 2nd Life in order to investigate. So many questions arise! What will they make their characters look like? Will they give themselves the chiseled physique the Bureau demands they attain? Or will they stay true to the chubby physique the Bureau has allowed them to retain? Will they don official FBI duds? Or will they get to live out their fantasies of wearing a bad as...
