Oil on 3/8" deep Hardboard9" high x 12" wideClick here to place your bid.I did this painting a while ago and kept it for a while. I though to keep it for my collection, because I really like the way it came out. 4 friends having a drink and a snack at the Peach Festival in Romeo, MI this past summer. The girls in that awkward age where we are still not women yet try to behave like ones, and we are not kids anymore but our childhood is still all over the place.Terminé este cuadro hace un tiempo ya y me lo quedé por un tiempo. Pensé quedármelo para mi colección. porque realmente me gustó como quedó. 4 amigas bebiendo un refresco y un bocadillo en el Festival de Melocotones en Romeo, MI este verano pasado. Pumpkin Picking

Oil on 3/8" deep Hardboard 6" high x 6" wide Click here to place your bid. I found this lady at my local nursery last year a few days before Halloween. I was walking with Rufo (my 16 years old dog) and taking pictures for my works. I couldn't resist to snap this one... in fact I took a lot of pictures that day, while Rufo was laying down. What I really like about this scene was the light. The afternoon was so bright that no matter what color you were looking at it would turn absolute white because of the strong light. The reflection of the orange color of the pumpkins on the girls arm was something else that captured my attention even though her sweat shirt was gray. Encontré a esta muchacha en el invernadero cerca de casa unos dias antes de Halloween. Estaba pasenado con Rufo (perro de 16 años de edad) y tomando fotos para mis trabajos. No pude resistir tomar esta foto... de hecho tomé muchas fotos ese día, mientras Rufo descansaba. Lo que realmente me gusta de esta escena es la...

Oil on Gessoed Hardboard (Masonite)6" high x 6" wide (15.2 x 15.2 cm)Click here to bidFinally back in my studio. It took me forever ever since I got back from NY for my last show, between taxes, computer work, business deals, etc, I couldn't even set a foot on it. Anyways, is almost 2 am and I was able to finish a quick painting to get back to my daily painting, which I missed so much!!I caught this union worker reading the paper on my last day at the New York Art Expo at the Javits Center this past March 3rd while waiting for my husband. The last day of the show and the day the sun finally came out. The light coming through the giant windows is hitting him from behind. I'm about 200 feet away from him, but I was able to snap a very nice picture. * Questions? Comments? Oil on Gessoed Hardboard (Masonite)6" high x 6" wide Click here to bidA quick study for a larger painting. This little girl was at the Laida Beach in the North of Spain on a muddy and hot summer day. She seemed to be looking for her mommy at least that was the impression I had. She was so cute, a very European child.Un estudio rápido para un cuadro mas grande. Time to Relax
2008-02-05 00:43:00
Oil on Gessoed Hardboard (Masonite)6" high x 6" wide Click here to bidI wanted to paint something today for my blog and my daily painting website. I feel like I've abandoned my daily paintings lately! I've being so busy with the last minute details for the New York show, that I haven't had time for almost anything else. My time is so short these days that I just wanted to relax and paint without pressure, and I wanted to do this piece for quite a while. I found this lady sitting on the sand at the Stoney Creek Park here in Michigan. I thought the whole scene was interesting. Lots of blues so quite a challenge since blue is one of the colors I don't really like too much... don't ask! it goes way back in my life... anyways this was certainly a relaxed painting, she seems relaxed, sitting there on a warm afternoon, on the last few days of summer right before the beaches get closed for the season and I so needed to be her today, just that, sitting while having a beer (that's what ...

Oil on 3/4" Deep Hardboard8" high x 8" wide Another one from the Starbuck Cafe in Windsor, Canada. After the elegant lady with the white hair moved and my husband finally brought me mi latte, I was able to see a young woman wearing a red coat who appeared to be studying, or so it looked for the amount of books and papers on the table, but she looked so into it, that even the couple on the table next to her didn't even bother her at all, she was completely abstracted from the rest of the world. This painting will be included in my next exhibit at the Sterling Heights City Hall February 1st. Winter Walk / Sugar Please / To Millender Center, Detroit
2008-01-26 06:26:00
Below three of the paintings that will be included at the Sterling Heights City Hall exhibit this next February 1st. I will be awarded artist of the month by the City Hall on February 5th. Interested in purchasing any of these paintings, please contact me.To Millender Center, Detroit.Oil on 3/8" Deep Hardboard10" high x 10" wide I just finished this piece a few minutes ago. This is the entrance from one of the pathways to the Millender Center in Detroit, Michigan from the Cobo Center where the station for the People Mover is located. When I took saw this scene, I had in my mind to paint the guy that was just in front of me (the guy with the yellow jacket) but as I was analyzing the image before sketching I fell in love with the mood of the scene, the contrast between the vibrant yellow jacket of the guy behind everyone (and in front of me) and the rest of the people surrounding him wearing dark cloth. It was certainly a challenge to break all those gray colors, but a lot of fun.Sug...

2008-01-25 00:28:00
Oil on Gallery Wrapped Canvas12" high x 12" wide Click here to bidWe visited Windsor, Canada two weekends ago, and as always, my camera -faithful companion- was with me. A cold winter day and quite a few nice shots for inspiration. As always we got lost driving in the city, and we had to stop to look at the computer (gps map) and while my husband was checking that out, I was checking this guy in front of a store that sells vintage cloth and used items. He was looking at the badly hanged vintage blue dress and it gave me the impression maybe he liked the dress for his girlfriend? This is a quick study in a large size though and I'm offering it for auction (click the link above to bid), although I'm not listing any large original paintings on eBay anymore this one will be an exception. The original painting which I'm working on right now, will be exhibited at the Sterling Heights, MI City Hall, February 1st. The exhibition will be open until February 22 and the opening reception wh...

Oil on 3/8" deep Hardboard (Masonite)6" high x 6" wide Click here to bidBefore Christmas I went with my youngest son (4 1/2 years old) and all his classroom to a bakery factory as part of a field trip. We baked an apple pie together and we had tons of fun, but I knew that was going to be a great opportunity also to take pictures for reference so armed with my camera I went. The place was not too crowded but enough couples and friends here and there enjoying a just out of the oven pie. These two girlfriends caught my attention right away, mainly because of the play of light as they were sitting by the windows.Questions? Comments? Oil on Gessoed Hardboard (Masonite)6" high x 6" wide Click here to bidMy last day in Chicago couldn't have ended without taking pictures of the famous Cloud Gate, better known as The Bean. A spectacular reflective sculpture in Millennium park that attracts thousands of visitors. I took tons of pictures of every angle and still I look at the pictures I took and I'm amazed at such a simple but incredible sculpture. I finished this piece not too long ago, the second for today, very loose and without much thinking or stopping in the little details.Questions? Comments? Oil on Gessoed Hardboard (Masonite)6" high x 6" wide Click here to bidHappy New Year! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas time a safe and Happy New Year. Finally I came out of my cave, once again to start painting. Holidays don't sit good on me and probably to many of us women with husbands and kids. This is the time of the year in which we work twice and even three times more than usual. We started the year with snow, lots of snow here in Detroit, and much more where I live, about an hour north of Detroit. The kids as of yesterday back to school and me finally back to my studio, painting like crazy for the New York show next month, gosh time flies! Anyways, this is my new painting for the year, a small, very loose and colorful (as always! =]) oil painting of a mother and daughter shopping at the mall. I find myself painting with more color than usual when the weather is cold and there is still snow on the ground. I guess the extreme white landscape triggers something on me that sa...

"Going in" - second
2007-11-26 14:59:00
Oil on Gessoed Hardboard (Masonite)6" high x 6" wide Click here to bidThere was something about the water I didn't like on the previous version of this painting (see below) so I decided to go to sleep and see if in the morning I was feeling the same way. Fair enough, I didn't like it either when I woke up, so I worked on it a little more. The water on the first one looked too calm, somehow I changed the way the ocean looked as I was focusing more on the wave that was breaking out in front of the girl and forgot about the other waves that were behind, plus the water on my picture reference looked more greenish not grayish, so I changed the tone of the water aswell. Sometimes is a matter of just stepping away from the painting long enough to see what was wrong with it that we didn't quite like in the first place.Questions? Comments? "Unnoticed"
2007-11-25 08:51:00
Oil on Gessoed Hardboard (Masonite)8" high x 10" wide A few months ago I was lucky enough to find a celebrity while shopping at the mall, but it wasn't until yesterday that I decided to paint the scene as I was looking for my pictue references to finish the third painting that will go to the juried show at the Lawrence St. Gallery, here in Michigan. Her name is Patricia Richardson, better known as Jill Taylor, wife of Tim "the tool man" Taylor in the tv series "Home Improvement" one of my favorites old tv shows by the way and this painting is the lady with the black tank top and the white shirt on top. Her hair due is different, still with her bangs, and maybe that's why she passed unnoticed. I guess sometimes when you are a celebrity is so good to being able to just go out and enjoy a day at the mall without photographers... wel not quite, as I was there and took a picture, or two.Questions? Last day of summer - finished work
2007-11-10 19:03:00
Oil on Gessoed Hardboard (Masonite)6" high x 6" wideI just finished the second piece that will be going to the Lawrence St. Gallery juried exhibition. I still have one more to go, as I'm applying for this exhibit with three paintings. If I get accepted this will be the second juried exhibition I get into for this gallery, so keep your fingers crossed! =]The image that inspired this painting I took it at the Stoney Creek Park here in Michigan which is about 20 minutes from my home. Is a gorgeous park with a very large lake where I used to go mountain biking with my oldest son before the car accident I had this past June 5th.Anyways, this was taken very late in the afternoon, it was around 6:30pm and the sun was so bright that I couldn't resist the temptation and took a bunch of pictures from the people that was still enjoying the last days of summer at one of the beaches. The painting I titled I found something! was also inspired from a photograph on this beach, and the pick bucket...

Peaceful Morning at the Laida Beach, Spain
2007-10-28 20:53:00
Oil on Gessoed Hardboard (Masonite)10" high x 8" wide Painting will be for exhibition at the Lawrence St. Gallery, MII was finally able to finish the painting! I had to work extra on the umbrella. For some reason I was having trouble with the actual drawing, so after redrawing the exact perspective of the umbrella, I was finally able to finish it. The original umbrella on the picture I took was white with blue pocodots, but for some reason I didn't quite like it as it rendered the whole scene too "plain" so after a while I thought it would be good to have an orange umbrella instead, yet still not quite what I wanted. A little yellow here and white there and I was able to go for the look I had in mind. Sometimes, not very often thankfully, a few color changes need to me made in order to bring to life the first stricking image we saw in first place. Now I'm going out to plant some 300 tulip bulbs that are waiting for me, and hopefully I'll be able to start the second piece for this ...

Oil on Gessoed Masonite10" high x 8" wide Having the kids and husband at home doesn't help at all if I need peaceful time to paint! lol!! but as much as I love having them aroung, I sure needed some time ALONE to at least try and finish one of the paintings I started for the juried exhibition at the Lawrence St. Gallery.Anyways, between "mom!" and "honney, could you help me out?" I was able to finish painting the woman, the guy and part of their baggage that's sitting under the umbrella.Just looking at them so perfectly tanned her, and in his way to perfect tan him, I feel the warm of the sun.And for those of you who wonder, like my oldest son, if the girl is topless, yes she is, perfectly normal at any public beach in Spain, and other parts of Europe.Hopefully between laundry tomorrow I'll be able to finish this one and start the other one.Have a great rest of the Saturday!Questions? Peach pies for $10
2007-10-05 05:43:00
Oil on Gessoed Hardboard (Masonite)6" high x 6" wide Click here to bidAs I was walking by the town of Romeo, 20 minutes away from my home the weekend of Labor Day, everywhere in the town there were tents with all sort of goodies, from pies and sweets to handmade candles and crafts. Right across the street as I was waiting for the red light I saw these kids, a brother and a sister, promoting what seemed to be their parents goodies right next to their tent. The sign on the boy's hands read "Peach Pies for $10, peach flips $1, We'll bring them to you! Curb Side" written on a piece of card board. The boy seemed really tired and a little hot, but I thought it was really cute what they both were doing for their family.Questions? Comments? Post them right here or email me

Oil on Gessoed Hardboard (Masonite)6" high x 6" wide Buy Now or Place your Bid NowAs I was walking out from the Romeo town fair the weekend of Labor Day, I saw this couple with their grandchild just passing by next to a vendor just at the entrance of the fair, right on the street. It was about 7pm and still the sun was just bright and shiny. The light was hitting them from behind and illuminating just the contour of both, I had to snap that picture.Questions? Comments? Cloudy day at The Bean, Chicago
2007-09-17 22:35:00
Our last day in Chicago, and it had to rain! still that didn't stop me, I wanted pictures of the Cloud Gate (famously known as The Bean) before heading back to Michigan, so my husband left me right there on the highway and I started running towards the bean (I'm a fast runner by the way!) I took at least 50 pictures from different angles (I love my Canon EOS!) but of course all what the sculpture could reflect was the darkness of the sky, but still I think many of the pictures I took came out pretty good. I took this picture as I was approaching the bean for first time in my life, impressive structure by the way, people must have thought I was completely insane walking with the camera stuck in my face and shooting pictures like crazy! I went back to the car running as well as it started to rain and I didn't want my camera to get wet. What an amazing reflection this sculpture gives to the park. Now, I'm offering this painting with a Buy It Now option of $1,150.00 or you can make m...
A great day at the lake
2007-09-11 23:36:00
Oil on Gessoed Hardboard (Masonite)6" high x 6" wide Bid NowThis is one more painting based on that visit at the Stoney Creek Park the Friday before Labor day. As I was approaching the pier I see this woman with a boat and right at that moment her husband was approaching the pier with her truck just to take the boat out of the water. What a great life, must be no matter at what age in your life you are able to accomplish it, to just navigate with the wind on a sunny and beautiful day and just plain enjoy life. I stood there just for a moment to see them take the boat of the water with a smile in their face. This is something my uncle used to do a lot back in Italy, what a wonderful experience.Questions? Not too Fashionable

6" x 6" (15.3cm x 15.3cm)Oil on Gessoed Hardboard (Masonite)$150 with FREE shipping and handling in the US and CanadaE-mail me for International shipping rates or other inquiries. On my visit to the Stoney Creek Park, here in Michigan on the Friday before labor day, I went to the shores of the lake to take some pictures. It was fairly late to take pictures, around 6:30 pm but still good sunlight. This lady which was so tanned I couldn't even get a good picture of her face from the distance I was, was getting ready to leave for the day. But as we all are on the beach after a lot of sun, sand, lotion and water, not too fashionable after all. Her hair certainly was not in place and for sure she would have freaked out if she knew that, I know I would have, but yet she graciously was getting dressed with a beautiful white linen pair of pants and blouse, a little bit fashionable maybe ;0)Questions? Labor Day

Oil on Gessoed Hardboard6" wide x 6" high (15.2 x 15.2 cm)Bid NowOn Friday I went out to take some pictures for reference at the Stoney Creek Park here in Michigan. The park is about 20 minutes from my house, and that's were I used to mountain bike with my son. There is a pretty large lake with beaches, piers for boats, fishing area and all sort of amenities. I parked at one of the beaches and took a bunch of pictures. This is one of them. A couple of friends talking while on the water. The sunlight was still pretty strong even though it was way passed 6:30 pm. Although I had a hard time with the face of the lady in the red hat, I was finally able to make it right. Questions? Smoking a Break
2007-08-30 07:16:00
Oil on Gessoed Hardboard6" wide x 6" high (15.2 x 15.2 cm)Place your Bid (auction starts 8/30 around 7:00pm PDT)On our second day in Chicago, we had to be early at the Venezuelan Consulate which is located at 20 N Wacker Dr. After we showed up at the consulate, we were asked to come back in an our and a half. That was my chance! with the camera in my hand we went for a long walk and picture shooting. As we crossed the river, right behind the building were the consulate is, there it was this guy with an orange jacket from the Chicago Water Taxi, which appeared to be on a break smoking a cigarette.... or was the cigarette smoking him?... I was attracted to the way the soft light was hitting him, no dark shadows, as it was early in the morning and the shadows from the buildings around softened the ambience. He was standing between two stone columns and with the entrance to the water taxi, I thought the whole scene couldn't have being more natural and casual.Questions? Comments? Post ...
Is too hot, I'm going home
2007-08-27 23:59:00
Oil on gessoed board6" wide x 6" high (15.2 x 15.2 cm)Bid NowThe picture that inspired this painting was taken in a beach in the north of Spain, Laga Beach in the Basque Country, well known internationally for its really high waves, being a favorite place for surfers from all over the world. We lived in the Basque Country for almost 2 years, and we visited this beach a couple of times. Very funny as is being said the waters walk. The beach gets literally packed with people, and this day was no different. It took a good deal for us to find parking, but as we arrived this young woman was living the beach. Of course camera in hand, before getting in the water we snapped a bunch of pictures and she happened to be in one of them. It looked like she was really hot and just wanted to leave the beach before melting away.Questions? Comments? Post them right here or email me
Playing with the Sand

5" x 5" (12.7cm x 12.7cm)Oil on Masonite Board$150 with FREE shipping and handling in the US and CanadaE-mail me for International shipping rates or other inquiries. This is a painting I wanted to do for a long, long time, but never got the nerve to jump to it. This is me, my little son when he was a little bit over a year and my daughter Daniela, and we are at the Arrigunaga Beach in Getxo, north of Bilbao, which was the town we used to live in while we were in Spain from June 2004 until February 2006.My daughter was just immerse playing with the sand, my little one just smilling at daddy who was taking this picture, and me.... well, putting my lotion on so I can just lay down and tan.... that didn't happen. My daughter after a few minutes of playing with the sand decided to crawl (she doesn't walk) all the way to the ocean for which I had to jump, and my little angel thought the sand looked good to eat.I wanted this painting to look loose, painterly like. Notice that I'm focusin...

The Duophone concept is a power couple? Literally and figuratively.
2007-07-09 20:57:00
This new Duophone handset concept designed by Daewoo Kim has a perfect relationship, sorta like Bobby and Whitney before the opiate abuse. Its also more then meets the eye, at first glance it appears to be a regular concept we’ve see on NWS before, but no it really compliments itself, you put them together and ...
