2008-02-02 21:27:00 While I was browsing around for unnecessary files on my 88% full hard drive on my Desktop using WinDirStat, I found the ‘SquareEnix’ folder was still there, though I uninstalled it back in the Spring, since it was decided that I wasn’t going to play it anymore since WoW is the frequently used MMORPG on my computer. It’s taking up 500 MB…I need as much space as possible. I want to delete this folder…but, wait. What’s in it? It’s mouse cursors used in Final Fantasy XI! I can’t let this go to waste…so what do I do with them? Use them! 2007-10-13 03:46:00 In the newest issue of Square-Enix's Final Fantasy XI newsletter, it mentions a new playable class will be introduced at the upcoming FFXI Fan Festival. In addition to Puppetmaster and Corsair classes introduced in the Treasures of Aht Urgan, we welcome Wings of the Goddess' "Dancer" as the ninth alternative in the advanced job roster. My opinion? Just give it up already, Square. If I were still playing, I would have given Dancer a shot. I assume it will go along perfectly with Bards, just like in Ragnarok Online. However I'm afraid that time is running out for Vana'diel, in terms of enjoyment. I'm afraid that Final Fantasy XI is done for, especially since World of Warcraft's Wrath of the Lich King's Death Knight will own all of the timely (pun intended, if you have played FFXI and it took you two+ years to get to level 75) classes.

2007-07-18 07:55:00 Final Fantasy XIII is reported to be 13% complete according to Sony's press materials. While Final Fantasy Versus XIII is lagging far behind and still has a lot more to go with a mere 1.3% completion. Details of FFXIII Versus are still pretty sketchy but according Square-Enix, it's about the story of a young king sworn to defend the last crystal in the world from the "hectic order" outside of his kingdom. It's a fight between ancient and modern techonology, and the struggle of one king to protect the old ways. And according to director Tetsuya Nomura, the game will play a bit like a more realistic Kingdom Hearts with elements of third-person shooting from Dirge of Cerberus.
