2010-05-26 09:38:00 It was a very classy ending, with the predator fade, and sets up the forthcoming film very nicely. The last few episodes were very good indeed, amongst the best 24 hours. I didn't particularly like when Jack Bauer spoke into the camera to decry dishonest statescraft. Venturing into political philosophy is out of character for the action-oriented Jack. The president's last (15) minute honesty rivals Jack's taking out of a helicopter with a handgun in one of the previous days for sheer unbelievability. This season did feature the best gunplay of the entire series. Jack coming out in full body armor, reminiscent of the North Hollywood Shootout, was thrilling, as was the battle with the Islamic terrorists in a warehouse complex earlier in the day. I can't believe that my multi-season love affair with a show about a weird ass island is coming to an end. After all we've been through, Jack, Sawyer, Sayid, Ben and co.? To quote the disco classic: "Don't leave me this way." I'm surprisingly sentimental about this, particularly because my "Lost" love started out slow, timid even. I was convinced it would be a colossal waste of time. My sis, who got me into it, actually lost interest in recent seasons. Still, I pressed on.I was addicted to the show's slow-burning story lines, mysterious plot developments and "X Files"-like atmosphere. In a world filled with reality...

2010-05-22 15:00:00 Yes, I admit that I have been a fan of "Lost" since the launch of the program in 2004. I am definitely a Lostie, but don't ask me if I can always decipher what is going on... but isn't that part of the seduction? Maybe I love the program because there are no wardrobe changes! Tune in this Sunday to see the finale. I definitely will!I'm still frustrated with the finale of "The Sopranos" as I am still looking for Tony. Where did he go?!... |
